Shared by my 8-year-old son with about 7 minutes left on the clock in the first half: "It is more quiet here than in my (3rd-grade) classroom."

And again just before the second-half kickoff: "Wow, look at all this room I have now to stretch out."

Some things never change in Peden on a fall Saturday.

Well there was a huge exodus from the old fart side at the time of the lightning delay, so there were still some folks toughing it out at that point. For those who weren't there, the heat index must have been very high. I went under the stands at halftime just to try and cool down. Wife and I consumed about four bottles of water between us.
