Arkley generous in his praise. Lots and lots of information. Just a sample below.

Apparently Irons was sitting in the first half due to a violation of team rules. Interesting, and it begs the question of whether he would have seen action sooner under normal circumstances.

The other interesting thing is that the blog confirms that the data in the game stats, in the "participation" section has errors. Only three true Freshmen played, Hale, Croutch, and Provitt, and only six offensive linemen. I have been wondering if they will try to redshirt Preuhs (and hoping they will, as I'd love to have him as the starting center for three full years). The game stats show that he played, as well as Addrell Taylor, but per Arkley, they didn't.

The other thing he mentions in the blog related to the participation is that Ohio used 5 Defensive tackles, and 5 defensive ends. The game stats show 4 defensive tackles (Sayels, Tautuaiki, Porter, Aloese) but exclude Purdum, who I saw on the field. The game stats only show 3 defensive ends (Basham, Laseak, Smart), but don't show the other two who likely played, Berger and Robbins. Purdum, Robbins, and Berger are 95, 96, and 97 respectively, so maybe the participation report was truncated at 92 unintentionally.

I kept thinking about the Pruehs redshirt. I'm torn on him. Love his game so much I want him to redshirt, love his game so much I want him to play.

If Pruehs accepts a redshirt and winds up having to watch the games from the sidelines and practicing on the scout team Coach Burrow will be asking Coach Johnson to reign in Pruehs before anyone gets seriously hurt in practice. I could be wrong. Pruehs might just quietly take the year off and concentrate on his social life, nah, someone will take some licks in practice, perhaps the freshmen DTs.
