Any current MAC school come close to having NFL contributors over the last 40 years like the Flashes?

Julian Edelman--on lousy Flashes team and BOOM, he's a tough guy on a Super Bowl participant. Loved seeing him take down the ball carrier after the goal line pick.

Antonio Gaits, Lambert, Harrison...each big contributors to their teams

I remember how Edelman could extend a play while at QB at Kent. Very frustrating for our defense and our D-coaches. No idea how talented he would become as an NFL player.

Brady is great but I think you could make a case for number 11 to get the MVP.. He didn't throw two picks had about 8 catches, a jet sweep, made a key tackle, leading to the injury of a key Seattle player and cleanly grabbed every punt.

Would have been nice for the MAC.

I hated the way that Edelman was able to keep Kent alive. Didn't make any sense. Seeing him do those same things to the Seahawks makes me feel a little better about it.

Weren't those Edelman's spin moves at the Goal Line twice that completely burned the corner. The first guy always missed him after the catch.

I said the same thing during the game. For as vaunted as the Seattle secondary was, they couldn't tackle Amendola or Edelman to save their lives.

My MVPs for the game would have been Edleman and the no-name free-agent who intercepted the goal line pass in the waning seconds. Co-MVPs. Brady couldn't have gotten the team down the field at crucial times without guys to catch the ball and run the ball. With two INTs, I would think it would be time to pass the glory around a little bit. Without the INT at the goal line Brady's two earlier INTs would have made him the goat of the game. I know I'm not with the program here, but that's how I view it.

They have produced some pretty good coaches too with Saban and, while retired, Lou Holtz. Could be some more that I cannot think of.

Saw us play against Cribbs at home in maybe 2001 or 2002 and it looked like we were trying to tackle a greased pig. Of course that was not uncommon against a lot of teams in that era = ).
