I had an interesting talk with a former D1 coach yesterday about the importance of the demographic breakdown of your coaching staff. One of his key takeaways from his time in coaching was the importance of having young African American coaches who can get out there and relate to the some of the top recruits. He also stressed the importance of youth on the staff in general because it keeps everyone else motivated. He himself fit this role in his younger years, and I thought it was very interesting to look at the current OU staff and see who could fill this role. It looks like we have a much older staff on the coaching side of things, so hopefully we can get some of our graduate assistants involved in the "Hustling" of recruiting.

That would be a pretty serious NCAA violation, and not very smart.
