So somewhat comparable to the current situation with redhawk being 2-6/2-10. Out of the gate he was beaten by Akron and it went down hill from there. Frank, more often than not, wins close games by FGs or other means in the waning seconds, Knorr tended to lose close games -- as well as blowouts. Knorr had no track record to balance against his four-year slide during his tenure. Monroe, I understand your humor here. So, I'll end with some humor of my own. Question: How many BAers does it take to change a lightbulb? Answer: 151. One to screw in the new bulb, and 150 to analyze the technique, to critique the quality of the past 22 light bulb changings, decry the lack of the two-man changing technique being employed, and comment on the value of 5 star LED bulbs vs. 3 star fluorescents vs. 2 star incandescents. Knorr had inherited 18 returning starters from Grobe's 7-4 team that had knocked off both Minnesota (a Gopher team that later won at OSU) and Marshall. That Grobe team had not given up more than 28 points to a single opponent - one of only 4 FBS teams to do so. By halftime of the Akron game - as I'm betting Monroe recalls - it was clear that Knorr was not ready for prime time as an HC. And I'm not talking about play calling as much as management of his program. Have to agree Mike but the sad thing is that Tom Boeh is quoted as saying in his press conference announcing Brain's hire and that I attended - we knew this day would come and we've been watching coach Knorr for some time and he's the right guy for Ohio at this time. So much for management assessment of talent. In all fairness to Brian though, when you get a job as late as he did and all of the assistants leave, you've got a real uphill climb.
