UPDATE 11/14/14:

FCS wins were removed from consideration. FCS wins no longer count as an attempt. No points will be awarded for any FCS wins (status quo) and FCS wins will no longer count towards a team's W/L record. FCS losses will count as a loss, an attempt, and impact a respective team's OPPA score accordingly.

I gamed out the end of the year with Sitch's rankings (because why would I want to be productive at work today?). I'm counting 76 bowl eligible teams, for 76 slots. We get in before Ga. Southern due to this being their transition year. Other 6-6 teams we would be competing with are Temple, WKU, SDSU, and UAB.

MAC
Ohio loses to NIU, beats Fiami, ends ELIGIBLE at 6-6
Akron beats Buffalo, UMass, and Kent, ends ELIGIBLE at 7-5
--Ends with 7 eligible.

American
Temple to lose to Penn State and UC, beat Tulane, end ELIGIBLE at 6-6
--Ends with 6 eligible. Temple's ECU upset was huge. If we lose out on a bowl bid, that might be why.

ACC+Notre Dame
NC State to beat Wake, lose to UNC, end ELIGIBLE at 6-6
UNC to beat NC State and Pitt, lose to Duke, end ELIGIBLE at 6-6
Pitt to lose to UNC and Miami, beat Syracuse, end INELIGIBLE at 5-7
Virginia to lose to VaTech and Miami, end INELIGIBLE at 4-8
VaTech to beat Wake and Virginia, lose to Duke, end ELIGIBLE at 6-6
--Ends with 11 eligible. Two biggest games for eligibility purposes should be UNC/Pitt and Virginia/VaTech

Big XII
Texas beats Okie Light, loses to TCU, ends ELIGIBLE at 6-6
Okie Light loses to Texas, Baylor, and Oklahoma, ends INELIGIBLE at 5-7
--Ends with 6 eligible

B1G
A Michigan state university to lose to Maryland and osu, end INELIGIBLE at 5-7
Penn State to beat Temple and Illinois, lose to MSU, end ELIGIBLE at 7-5
Rutgers to beat Indiana, lose to MSU and Maryland, end ELIGIBLE at 6-6
Indiana to lose to Rutgers and osu, beat Purdue, end INELIGIBLE at 4-8
Northwestern to beat Illinois and Purdue, lose to Notre Dame, end INELIGIBLE at 5-7 (sorry L.C.)
Illinois to lose to Penn State, Iowa, and Northwestern, end INELIGIBLE at 4-8
--Ends with 9 eligible

C-USA
MTSU beats FAU, FIU, and UTEP, ends ELIGIBLE at 8-4.
UAB loses to Marshall, beats So. Miss, ends ELIGIBLE at 6-6
WKU beats Army and UTSA, loses to Marshall, ends ELIGIBLE at 6-6
UTEP beats North Texas and UTSA, loses to Rice, ends ELIGIBLE at 7-5
North Texas loses to UTEP, FIU, and UTSA, ends INELIGIBLE at 3-9
--Ends with 7 eligible. So. Miss upsetting UAB, and/or Army or UTSA beating WKU, would be huge for those on the bubble.

Independents not named "Notre Dame"
BYU wins its last 3 to end ELIGIBLE at 8-4
Navy beats Army and So. Alabama, loses to Ga. Southern, ends ELIGIBLE at 6-6
Army loses to Navy and WKU (Fordham NR) ends INELIGIBLE at 3-9 or 4-8
--So. Alabama beating Navy probably opens up the Poinsettia Bowl for the MAC, although Navy winning means So. Alabama probably isn't eligible. The ideal scenario is Navy over So. Alabama, and Army over Navy.

Mountain West
SDSU loses to Boise St. and Air Force, beats San Jose State, ends ELIGIBLE at 6-6
Fresno State loses to Nevada, beats Hawaii, ends INELIBLE at 5-7
San Jose State beats Hawaii, loses to Utah State and SDSU, ends INELIGIBLE at 5-7
Wyoming loses to Boise St., beats New Mexico, ends INELIGIBLE at 5-7
--Ends with 6 eligible

PAC-12
Stanford loses to Utah and UCLA, beats Cal, ends ELIGIBLE at 6-6
Cal loses its last three games, ends INELIGIBLE at 5-7
Washington loses to Arizona and Wazzu, beats Oregon State, ends ELIGIBLE at 7-6.
Oregon State loses its last three games, ends INELIGIBLE at 4-8
--Ends with 8 eligible.

SEC
Florida beats South Carolina and Eastern Kentucky, loses to FSU, ends ELIGIBLE at 7-4
Kentucky loses to Tennessee and Louisville, ends INELIGIBLE at 5-7
South Carolina loses to Florida and Clemson, beats So. Alabama, ends INELIGIBLE at 5-7
Tennessee beats Kentucky and Vandy, loses to Missouri, ends ELIGIBLE at 6-6
Arky loses its last three to end INELIGIBLE at 4-8
--Ends with 10 eligible. South Carolina beating Florida would probably make it 11 eligible, and a Vandy upset over Tennessee would probably leave the Vols ineligible.

Sun Belt
Texas State beats So. Alabama and Ga. State, loses to Arky State, ends ELIGIBLE at 7-5
So. Alabama loses its last three games to end INELIGIBLE at 5-7
--Ends with 4 eligible, but Ga. Southern is in a transition year and is at the end of the line.

Good adjustment.
