Cute. You do know that Elliot Hill is an Austin, Texas native, who is on the Board of Trustees at TCU, where he went to undergraduate school? Yes, he did get his MA at Ohio University, but it sounds like going to Ohio University did not help his Corporate career at all. It was his ability to hustle that helped his career, so I would say that there is a very, very small chance that any NIL money is coming to the Bobcats from that particular source. TCU though might be a different matter, because the rich only get richer out in the Real World.

Most of us who grew up in Athens, Ohio and went to Ohio University had to leave this area in order to break into the Corridors of Power out in the world, where we were in service to those in Power and not in Service to those at Ohio University or in the Athens Community, which offered little in terms of contacts that helped us out in the real world.

Don't get me wrong, I love Athens and the people here, but we are just not on anyone's radar. Hats off to Joe Burrow for sending money back this way to help the poor of this region, but even he had to leave the confines of Southeastern Ohio to get his break.

Ohio Football is a quaint and lovely small college experience, but won't be running with the Big Dogs anytime soon. Some of you need to get out of your Holler, over younder, in the Holler over there, and see what Big Time Football really looks like through out the rest of the country. I love Peden Stadium, but it is not the USC coliseum or the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, and neither USC or UCLA rivals the Big Powers such Alabama, Texas, and LSU.

It's cute that people think that Ohio University is going to get bigtime money and run with the Big Dogs. Hope springs eternal after all, so keep dreaming.

Who thinks that?

Anyway, cool to have an alum in that influential a position.

Can somebody hit a pull up jumper for me?.....

To read some of what is said on this page, Ohio69, you would think that some think Ohio should be able to hang with some of the best. I love my Bobcats, but we are a MAC team, not an SEC team.

Cheer up, buttercup.

Not a single person thinks we're about to become Oregon.

We did just receive a nice donation from a retired Nike exec. to help fund the locker room redo for Women's BB. That space hadn't been touched since 1968 - community showers, harsh lighting, etc.

You are correct on the restroom and showers in WBB, and actually all the locker rooms were/are original
