No, but Athens isn't on the list for the "Saddest town in America", either, unlike some of the above mentioned places.

Go Bobcats! Keep the bell in Athens.

I don't know about that.  Sitting on my back patio on an absolutely beautiful evening drinking a nice glass of Cabernet Sauvignon, life is pretty good here in suburban Cleveland.  We have LeBron back, so shove it.

Actually my bad, Alan.  It's a Shiraz by Yellowtail.  Not the world's most sophisticated wine for sure but I like it.

I spent a year in Cleveland one night....

Just kidding. My college roommate was from there, and while you can make great jokes about Cleveland (Rodney Dangerfield jokes like the above, or jokes about things like the lake catching on fire), but seriously, it's not a bad place.

Reminds me of a song John Denver wrote once, but it was about Toledo.  He wrote it while snowbound there for a day or so after a concert.

Stopped buying wine two years ago. Downstairs I have a good variety of homemade wines. Just started six gal of blackberry. Ahead in the clearing stage is another six gal from a friends concord grape vines. Bottled are pomegranate, apple, cranberry from fruit and Reisling, Shiraz and Piesporter made from juices imported from Germany and Australia. This is too easy and we get a lot more company since people know they will leave with wine.

Try sipping Gewurtzraminer from Alsace.  It's like sipping silk.

I'm more of a Gruner Veltliner guy.  As for the Yellowtail - it's time to step it up a bit my good man.

Can we get back to the subject at hand, guys? The happiest town in America today, IMHO, is Huntington, W.Va., as they prepare for their Super Bowl. Next, Saturday, however, it may be a different matter.

They're happy - but still too many hurdles still in front of them to qualify as happiest.

And James Franklin is the happiest man in America. He could be in the middle of the Vanderbilt dumpster fire. Instead, he's got a B1G contender and no more sanctions to deal with.

I think it is Ann Arbor because they don't have to play Notre Dame any more and they won't have Brady Hoke to kick around much longer.
