Frank names the QB starter.

I do think that he could be thinking towards playing 2 and adjust going forward.

Some fine teams have rotated QBs. If the egos can handle it two good players can work together and be better than one. Also makes for some interesting Monday barber shop discussions. You know from after listening to the game on radio on Saturday.

I've heard JD may be closer to Vick than people on here have thought.

Solich declines to name a starter, but says they will play at least 2 QB's in the opener, per Arkley's blog. Solich also praised the work of Greg Windham in camp. Windham seems to have really improved since he returned to the team after his suspension. It's going to be tough for them to play 3 QB's in every game, but it's nice to know there is a lot of quality depth at the critical QB position.

Quality depth? Or lack of separation due to mediocracy?

Ask me again, after the season.

We've had some mediocre guys lead us to some good years and "talented " guys lead us to mediocre years, so I'm less concerned about just QB play than overall team play.

Off the topic of QB but from the same practice report.  True freshman comes in without a scholarship and in three weeks shows he deserves one:
Quote:
Ouellette didn’t need long to make an impression either. After just three weeks of practice, Solich said it was clear the running back from Covington HS deserved a scholarship.

“It’s obvious, he’s a scholarship guy. People just missed on him. No doubt about it,” Solich said.

Very interesting.  Also great to see Solich return to form with a trademark "it's obvious."  I feel like he'd gone away from that a little.

The videos of the two scrimmages capture scattered plays and highlight plays.  Nonetheless, there were some decent arms making good throws at points.  We may or may not have a single standout but it appears that we have two or three guys who are quite capable (at least in terms of passing).

Who said OL & LBs? Run the ball, stop the run, win the game.

interesting, any other observations? i'd love to know that vick is getting a legitimate push, and not just winning the job because nobody is good enough to take it.
