Kent State could be without Trayion Durham for Ohio game

KENT: Senior running back Trayion Durham could miss all of preseason camp after undergoing a second surgery on the right foot that earlier forced him to miss spring camp.
Durham, who led the Golden Flashes last season with 766 rushing yards and tied for the team lead with six touchdowns, underwent the first surgery earlier this year after an injury incurred during the 2013 season worsened and required a pin to be inserted.
But with the foot still not responding the way he and doctors had hoped, Durham had a second surgery earlier this summer. Now, it�s unknown when the 6-foot, 248-pound Cincinnati native will be cleared to suit up and play again.
�I think [Durham coming back to participate in camp] is still up in the air,� Kent State offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Brian Rock said. �It�s kind of a one-day-at-a-time thing where he does a little more each day. So we�re gonna have to kinda play it by ear.
�I think you always have to prepare for the worst, so we�re planning on moving on for now. But if he gets back and to where he can be functional and productive, heck yeah, we�ll kinda see that as a bonus.�
In the meantime, the Flashes have three other tailbacks listed on the depth chart behind Durham in senior Anthony Meray, junior Tristin Boykin and sophomore Nick Holley.
