It was a large Division I HS he was trying to find a spot in with an A band and a B band. The top performer in his Middle School he thought he had enough talent to make 1 chair B band. When the depth chart came out he found himself to his disbelief 2nd chair A band. From every year after that he was 1st chair A band throughout HS and then played trombone in college and law school. That is the way I feel about Maleek Irons after looking at his numbers here walking in the door he's our #2 RB on a team loaded with good RB's right now. Daz as a true freshman was about #3 on the depth chart but there is twice as much talent here compared with 2 years ago. Edmond worked with the TEs last year before moving to RB, so having him fill an H-back role wouldn't be too much of a stretch. No, my thought is it wouldn't be much of a change to take RB who has previously practiced with TEs, and have him line up in a way that he can do both TE and RB things, which would be nice if we have way more RBs than we can use and not enough TEs.
