The team looks like they are in great shape, and no one has been slacking this summer.  #BewareOfBasham effect?

I love the enthusiasm and attitude of Tim Edmond. I hope he has a great season.

This is a very good "team building" exercise.  I think it will help with the camaraderie going forward.  It seems to me that last year there seemed to be a "me" rather than a "team" attitude with many of the guys.  I think exercises like this help to get back to the team aspect.  It may seem silly on one level, but I think this was a great idea on the part of the coaches.

FootballScoop article on the Nave Seals training, which was led by former college coach, and Top Shot season 3 participant Jake Zweig.

Ohio is the latest team we've seen to participate in military like training during the off season, and from the looks of it, theirs may be the most intense session yet.

These guys absolutely worked their tails off, and were pushed beyond their mental and physical limits. However, even more impressive than all of that is the fact that they enjoyed it. The last 30 seconds are a great testament to that.

I agree completely. Watching the team in those drills makes me want to see them do well this fall even more.

There is no mention of the geese issue which was brought up here, which only adds a deeper appreciation to the comment "right now you're more uncomfortable than you'll ever be in a game".

More press from Yahoo/Dr. Saturday.

And at ElevenWarriors, and the comments are funny.

Now, are we going to see units of about ten guys from the team carrying telephone poles around campus as they chant "We are OHIO"?  That would take me back to my days at NAMS (Naval Amphibious School) where in 1965 the Navy SEALS trained.  I would sit in my office typing with my typewriter (boy does that date me) and hear these guys grunting and running around the track, which I could see out of my office window.  I was the editor of a weekly newsletter called "NAMS News."  I would have flunked out of SEAL training in about one day . . . or less.  If our team ends up as tough of those SEALS we'll be the best conditioned team on the planet.  Interesting times!
