In the interest of equal time, Cat's Eye is also a great supporter of Ohio Athletics and I know has a great time planned for the Bowl Game.

Ugh! Green beer.  Isn't once a year enough?  How about some black beer?

Are you too young to remember St. Patrick's Day in Athens?  It was Halloween before there was Halloween, so to speak.  In fact, according to one local legend, President Alden wanted to go to the quarter system because it would get rid of the St. Patrick's Day Celebration, which falls in or near quarter break.  The result was Halloween as a substitute.  Now, with Ohio going back to the semester system next fall, we could have both!

Based on my last 5-6 times in Athens BW's, good luck getting your food before the game is over.  I almost called them on Monday to remind them that there was going to be a huge crowd of folks coming in before the Marietta hoops game.  It took 55 minutes from the time I placed the order to get 12 wings and 2 kids meals.  I am beginning to think I am the stupid one for even trying there.  I was joking about their service in the Rohr Room when an athletic department employee told me he called them early in the week telling them to be prepared.  I will have to want wings really bad before I go back there with less than 2 1/2 hours before tipoff.  The funniest exchange I saw was before the Marshall hoops game in Athens last year when Chicken George gave their manager an earful about how to sell chicken.

Finally!  Something besides Frankie Baumholtz that I am too young to remember.

Must have been on the cusp.  I was there on Court St. for the first Halloween party - but that's another thread in itself.

Should be a good time, I talked to someone at BW3 and I think they will be raffling off some Bobcat gear and tickets as well in addition to the Miller stuff.  I also mentioned the basketball game and they said they would try to find it and get it on but couldn't make any promises.

Since they won't get it on their satellite, here's how to do it if you have to (or want to) help them out. Laptop, horizonleaguenetwork.tv, hook it up to one of their projectors.

Catseye will have hoops game on as well.  Ellis has been working feverishly to ensure that he can have it on more than one tv.

To be fair BRONEY'S also did a nice job when the Rutgers game was on.  I would assume the they would do the same for the FB/BB games.  I will also say that their food delivery is fairly good

I am not a member of the Wharton family.  Just enjoyed that visit as the games were on several TV's.  Aaron did a great job adjusting the internet site.

I am 100% a fan of Broney's.  The only draws to BW's are that it is slightly more kid friendly and closer to the Convo.  Broney's is a much better sports bar and they are in tune with what is happening on Richland Ave. instead of Columbus.

Better hope osu inc. women's basketball team isn't playing on the big 10 network.

Have one for me at The Cats Eye! Best place in town for true Bobcats who could give a s**t about other schools!

Wish I were down there Scottie!
