I think the interesting thing about this is how the MAC will stack up against the other non-AQ conferences after these moves.

Certainly, the WAC has been hit hardest. It barely is keeping alive for football at all and will have one bowl next season (the one we are mad about playing in). Conference USA is losing three of its top programs, especially for football. The Mountain West is losing TCU, Boise State and San Diego State (but adding Fresno State and Nevada). The MAC and Sun Belt are unchanged.

Despite MH55's delusion that it was "imminent," I don't think that Temps was ever a serious candidate for the Big Least.  Villanova wouldn't have it and there is still all that baggage from Temps' previous stint in the BL.

This clears the way for a full merger between CUSA and MWC.  They were going to have separate conferences with an extra championship game for an automatic BCS slot.  But with CUSA down to nine and MWC being at 7 (they have 8, they lose 3 and gain 2), they can now merge into a 16-team conference.  It would make sense for Tulsa or Rice to join the MWC teams in one division and have the other 8 CUSA teams in the other.

Who will the CUSA pick up to replace these teams?

There could be some raiding of the MAC's better teams.

With WVU (at some point) leaving for the Big 12 and having a fair amount of travel time for their fans.  Do you think they would ever pick us up on their schedule?  Just looking for fairly close BCS teams to be on our schedule, knowing we only want one or two at the most.  Fairly easy travel for us.

Most difficult to have a logical dialogue with this board because the reasonable and informed posters are more concerned about Ohio's 50 year post season drought, their inability to sustain four quarters of play against a formidable opponent without the assistance of officials and a pathetic OOC schedule that usually manifests itself in said games.

That said, the "]['emple Football Program remains in an excellent position to be rescued from this swamp conference.

ps I have spoken with Sol and David Binder and they feel I have an excellent case to sue Ohio U for the pain and suffering of having broken two ribs laughing so hard during the 2nd Half of the MACC Charade.

Then perhaps I should sue for my sprained ankle from hopping the fence to storm the field after we beat your pathetic team... again.

You know what Frank Solich likes most about coaching in the MAC? While he gets older, his coaching competition stays the same age, man.

Mark

It's difficult for you to have a logical dialogue because you are incapable of employing logic, this fact has nothing to do with this board or the host of others you've been banned from.

Between your inappropriate pictures and your creepy allusions to "looking for a kitten while in Athens", I personally think you should have been banned from this one long ago as well. Alas, that is not my call.

Maybe the powerhouse that is CUSA will sweep Temple up and end your miserable MAC residence. For your own good, I sincerely hope they do. That way you will no longer be forced to witness OHIO owning Temple. Right now though, you're even more bitter than usual because not only did you watch the MACC from home yet again, but San Diego State...Yes you read that correctly...San Diego State was chosen over your stellar program.

You (like your team) are a non factor and your weak attempts at cutting down a program that you know is more solid (and has a better future) than your own, are amusing.

I suppose the Admins are reasonable. Im not barging my way into threads. I do two things here.
Create compelling threades which BA partially satiates BA readers unquenchable thirst for my perspective or I occassionally respond in threads in which I am specifically mentioned.

Really, there shouldnt be any concern for the Big East or Conf USA on this board because Ohio U is not a candidate for either. When "]["emple inevitably moves on, I will too.

Why so little interest in your Potato Bowl ? I probably know more about the game than most of the constant posters here. Unfortunately, you're not going to break your streak.

We can't all be like you MH55 and find our girls on facebook..... Or do you still use myspace?

Furthermore, are you calling Temple not a good opponent because I'm pretty sure that OU hung with you, and beat you all 4 quarters? I mean, OU did win that game correct?

This thread is like a two one legged men in a kicking contest.

Ohio has never won a bowl and got embarrassed in the MAC Title game..
Temple can't beat Ohio and wants out of the MAC but can't get invited to the party at the cool kids house.

Enough already.

Embarrassed?  Ohio lost 4 games this year by a total of 19 points and won the MAC East for the 3rd time in the last 6 years.  There's nothing remotely embarrassing about Ohio's 2011 season.

Devastated?  Definitely...

Embarrassed?  Nope...

We were there...You were not...

Temple supposedly has much bigger things to play for than Ohio does...If anyone should be embarrassed by their program's failures it should be Temple fan...

Well, some folks are just more comfortable with losing. To Ohio. Every. Single. Year.
