did the media ever ask about that ejection? Was he ever able to give his side? was he just retaliating and got caught, a la the WWF? What was going on there?

He had one hand deep in the pile right next to NIU's equal to Mike Tyson (except he must prefer fingers).  Cory just reacted the way just about anyone would in that situation.  His explanation fell on deaf official ears.  At least he doesn't have to give a high four after a nice play.

Thanks for the explanation.  While watching on TV, that's what it looked like Cory was trying to explain to the officials and Solich after the penalty.  He was showing them his hand and point down at the pile.
