Let me preface this post by saying that like many,  I'm still reeling.  I haven't watched a single snap of football since the MACC clock hit zeroes and I honestly don't know when I'll be able to.  I'm still seeing 4th Quarter flashbacks.  The ball glancing off of LaVon's fingertips in the endzone and that INSANELY good play out of the NIU DB for the INT (no way in the world Tyler expected that kid to be there).

That being said, the Bobcataholic thread inspired me to post...Very well said on a number of fronts there by the way...

Even in my shell shocked state, I'm still aware and appreciative of the fact that that OUr program has grown in leaps and bounds since Coach Solich arrived.  There's an empty place in my heart for what Noah, LaVon, Riley and the rest of the Seniors just experienced.  I sincerely hope though, that they realize it will be due GREATLY to their contributions and leadership when OHIO claims back to back MACC's in the coming years!

Wholeheartedly agree. Especially 2013 when we have 7 home games.

2012 could be a stars align sort of year. Linebacker and WR will lose a lot of production to graduation, but every other position will be stacked. It seems that every year since 2009, Frank believed that his team was the best he's ever had at Ohio. Next year's roster could be noticeably better. We just have to show up and not take anything for granted.

I hope the depth on the o line is as advertised because losing Flading and Strum is going to hurt.

We also lose our big playmakers on offense Brazill and Harden.

I think Donte Foster will be the next big playmaker at WR.

Hopefully Hammonds or Fulcher will be ready at RB to help out with Blakenship and Boykin.

My prediction at the beginning of the season was 10-4. Some of us were thinking 12-2 but having a Sophomore QB tempered my expectations. For the losses I had Ohio losing to Rutgers, Buffalo on the road, CMU on the road and in the MAC Championship game. My bowl game prediction was Boise and that we would win against Nevada. I was slightly off with the Cats losing to Ball State instead of CMU and Utah State nudging past Nevada for a spot in the Humanitarian Bowl. Going into next year both the QB and RB positions are maturing for Ohio and even with the name losses of Brazil, Harden and Keller there is no reason to think we couldn't win the East again next year and the MAC Championship game. The MAC East schedule won't be as kind going on the road against Kent State, Miami and Temple but then we have Buffalo and Bowling Green at home and UMass will be an easy win as a first year MAC team. A MAC record of 6-2 or better is still realistic and the Cats have managed at least 6 conference wins each of the last 3 seasons. Frank has got this program built and its enough to stay on top of the MAC East.

Most Memorable Bobcat Events Attended
2010 97-83 win over Georgetown in NCAA 1st round
2012 45-13 victory over ULM in the Independence Bowl
2015 34-3 drubbing of Miami @ Peden front of 25,086

We lose a lot of good players off this team. The schedule will be tougher too.

I think it is safe to say that we will lose a lot of good players off of every team for the foreseeable future.  That is not a bad thing, as it means that we are keeping the pipeline stocked with talented recruits.  We just need players to step up when it is their time.

Ohio was the beneficiary of incredible scheduling this year. Temple and Miami were given much more difficult crossover games and Ohio had them both at home. Sometimes the year picks you. For the first time under Solich, he'll return a starting QB which is great. But there are a lot holes to fill and the scheduling road will be much tougher.

Does anyone know if Crutcher was able to keep his redshirt?  I know he played, but only in four games and Noah did that last year and kept the redshirt.

BC36, I feel your pain and share your optimism for the future.  Go OHIO!
