I've seen alot of my favorite teams blow games. And when you're a Met and Ohio fan, you are a witness to MANY blown games. (though I know I can't hold a candle to the Clevelanders).

But this...

I just feel so dead inside. And my head hurts.

Worst loss ever. Even worse than the Grunk three...

I don't endorse the furry lifestyle, but when the Bobkitten is involved things can change mighty quickly...

I'll tell ya where we'll go. Someplace warm. A place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I'm talkin' bout a little place called... ATHENS.

I wish Northern Illinios would have just walloped us from the beginning a la Lefevour. That would have made things much more enjoyable.

The reason this one hurts so bad is because it was so easily preventable.

It's one thing if you play well and lose. It's another when you make poor decision after poor decision and just throw it away... especially when we actually did made the RIGHT decisions in the first half.

All they would have needed was a stinkin FG in the 2nd half. What about running the clock out at the end of the first half.  They just choked

Right before they kicked the field goal I actually had to changed the channel I just couldn't take the thought of blowing a game like that.  Thank Christ I'm working tomorrow to keep my mind off of this game.

Live in Cleveland and support Cleveland teams and you get used to it.  At  least Ohio's won  in hoops. I reallly have no enthusiam at all for a bowl game.  Watch, they'll win the bowl game and none of us will have watched because we will still be hurting from this loss.  I haven't felt this bad since Earnest Byner fumbled the ball againt the Broncos in '89.  This really,  really, really sucks.

NO sh**!!! there was a lil over a min left in the 1st half and we didnt take a timeout to stop the clock. Instead of trying to score again, we were f#%$ and decided to take the 20 pt lead into the half and pretend the game was over. NO KILLER INSTINCT!! Think thats how BCS coaches would have handled this situ? No, they would have smelled blood in the water and went right after a disoriented NIU D and prolly at least got 3 flipping pts. Not us tho, we thought the game was over at half time.

I feel the hex will continue at whatever Bowl we go to and whoever we play.  I hate ending the season with two losses again!

I thought the biggest slap in the face was Solich taking the two TOs before the field goal. He was prolonging the waterboarding...

I called it at halftime...because I know how it goes with Ohio Athletics. I've never been this angry with sports...and maybe a couple weeks will heal it...but I REALLY don't care about the bowl game.

I'm just as angry and disappointed as you, but lets edit out the hate speech, ok?

How about, "we let the clock run out in the first half like a bunch of poopheads"?

That was one of the more spectacular chokes I have ever seen.

- Best receiver in school history drops the game sealing TD.
- Followed by the best kicker in school history missing what looked to be a game icing FG.

After that sequence, it just all fell apart.

You could see it on Tettleton's face when Weller missed the FG up 20-7. He almost knew something bad was happening.

I'm sure the OC will get plenty of blame on here but TT made some awfull decisions tonight. Throwing across his body, throwing in to coverage and throwing late in to coverage.

I'd heap a lot more blame on the DC's shoulders. The 3 and sometimes 4 man half ***** rush is a recipe for disaster. You can't play the prevent with 9+ minutes left, up by 13.

Unreal. I honestly could care less about the bowl at this point. This was probably a team deflating loss that will lead to an embarrassing blowout in the irrelevant bowl game OU is about to be slotted in.

My high school basketball coach had an old saying.....There are two things that don't last: Dogs that chase cars and teams that don't make free-throws.

T-Rodge: You can send all of the insulting and juvenile private messages you want - two total now, moderators - but that doesn't change the fact that what you said was beyond ignorant. You're not sorry you said it; you were sorry you got called out on it. I was on this board before you and I'm a better fan than you. Why? Because I know it's just a game. Grow up and have some respect.
