Cooper's worst seasons were 6-6 in 99 (we were a disappointing 5-6, including loss to IAA N. Iowa) followed by 8-3 in 2000 (we went 7-4 and let's not discuss the Akron and Miami games that year). Tressels first season was a 7-6 campaign, which coincided with Brian Knorr's first year. We... uh... didn't do well that season. I looked and found that in 1966 OSU finished 4-5 while Ohio finished 5-5 - not as sexy as 1960, but I think this qualifies as the last time the Bobcats finished with a better record than the kids from Columbus.  Do I win?
