I've seen a lot of failure over the years as a Bobcat football fan. Close losses. Crushing last-second losses. Moral defeats. Kansas State. East Carolina, Akron. Marshall. NC State. Krauss hitting the crossbar against Toledo. Mike Bath. Roughing the snapper. Who didn't kind of expect deep down that Weller's title winning kick would be blocked or be hooked left? That was C-L-U-T-C-H! Going 90 yards sucking off time like a Dyson does dust off hardwoods, then nailing a kick so hard, right down the middle it would have been good from 60. Sorry BG no time left for you. It may have been winning ugly, but it was winning. Congrats Ohio! Now beat Miami, then the West champ, and bring home a MAC title. You just did what championship teams do.

100% agreed. I said I-don't-know how many times during that last drive "we're going to lose" and I'm soooo glad to be proven wrong. Not only did Mr. Reliable win it for us, we took, what, 7.5 minutes off the clock on our final/winning drive?!? Even as I watched the kick go through those beautiful yellow uprights I kept waiting for the little "flag" icon to appear in the lower right corner of my screen. When it didn't show up, I definately woke up my upstairs neighbors (if anyone lives there...based on the absence of complaints I've received the last 3 OHIO games I'm assuming that the apartment is empty). I'm just so crazy proud of this year's squad. Great play, super clutch, and, based on what I've read/personally seen of this year's team and their families, stand up Bobcats.

I have finally relaxed.............what a drive, what a game, what a team.........and what erudite comments from the faithful on BA in this thread.  A loud "HOPA!" is appropriate.

Great Post, A few of us including SBH attended the NC State game in the  tropical storm (1998) and that was the most gut wrenching loss of any sport I have ever witnessed.  It is the tough losses that makes last night so special for us.
