OK, so Solich gets the job a few years back, we're all excited. Hey, we've never had coaching royalty in Athens before, at least not on this level But, c'mon, how important can a coach truly be? Heck, we don't even know if the entire university even wants a D-1 football team.

And then, "boom, dynamite," Bobcats in the MAC Champ game for 3rd time in past 6 years. Most teams would start talking about a dynasty or bragging about how how great they are, our guys know that coach Solich is the catalyst that starts the fire, let's finally agree, 3 Champ games in 6 years is. "above-acceptable"!

Just look at our record against the MAC in November since 2009. Nuff said.

4 bowls in last 6 years with 3 East titles under Solich. Solich hire was bold and McDavis deserves the credit for pulling the trigger and making Ohio a major college program that showcases the university around the country. Add up the national tv games Ohio has appeared in under Solich.

They mentioned the Cats are 14 (now 15) and 7 in November under Solich. But as I recall, they lost 3 in November in his first season, when injuries caught up with the team. That makes the record 15-4 since 2005. Outstanding. That's a sign of a championship program.
