I guess they didn't like us after those losses to Ball State and Buffalo and it took the Temple win to put Ohio back on their radar. Ohio takes an offer to the Potato Bowl because they haven't played in it before. Wes, this is the bowl that the athletics department said they hoped they wouldn't get last year.  My guess is that their feelings are the same this year especially in light of their need to raise funds for the multi-purpose center. Edit: I tried to look up the payouts.  One list I found had a payout for the GoDaddy of  $1.5 million, which I think is double what the old GMAC Bowl paid.  On this same list neither the Spud nor the Pizza bowl listed any payout, as though the information was not available. Mutually Exclusive, Swankster? In no way does going to the Potato Bowl have an impact on the department's ability to raise funds for the multi-purpose center.  The Bowl Game is budgeted for and will be used for the bowl game.  The cost savings between going to a bowl in Idaho or one in Detroit isn't going to be allocated to the multi-purpose center and has no impact on that facility.
