Can we have just a regular victory formation with the QB under center?  I realize we're out of the gun/pistol all game and the snaps are different from having the QB under center.  But after nearly losing the ball on the 3rd and 4th down plays with time running out, I think they need to get under center.  If either of the bobbled snaps had caused a turnover, it could've cost us the game.

This worries me too.  Also, why can't we ever go under center and do a QB sneak on third or fourth and short.

Food for thought:

If the ball was snapped early with TT under center, there would have been a much higher chance that Temple would have recovered.  With TT being a few yards behind the LOS, there was plenty of time for him to jump on the ball before the D could get there.

I happened to record the game last night and watched it today...it baffled me that we snapped the ball with 12 seconds left on the play clock on 2nd down and about 9 seconds on 3rd down.  Would have removed ~19 seconds that could have saved us from the fourth down scramble that we had to do to kill the clock.

Rooting for Akron is like cheering on the Taliban.

But if he were under center there would have been better communication with the center and the bad snap might not have happened at all.

Very true.  I guess we will never know.  I am just glad that TT was able to recover the fumble and then run out the clock on 4th down.

It was a miracle we didn't lose the ball or give Temple possession at the very end of the game. Alarming...

Well, if it's about ensuring the W then let's work on it a lot in live game situations.

This thread reminded me of the Miracle in the Meadowlands, starring Herman Edwards....

I'm fine with the formation, but I just watched the replay with my son.  On each of the first three snaps we snapped it with 12 seconds on the play clock.  We left 36 seconds on the clock we could have run out.

That may be one of the problems with the no huddle.  They get into a hurry-up rhythm during the game and forget how to milk the clock.

Perhaps. But no excuse for a verteran coaching staff.
