He bobbles the kickoff, then fumbles a few plays later in the drive. He fumble away the game with 4th quarter fumble last week. Solich needs to bench him because he doesn't focus. He is killing this team. We are struggling for the 4th week in a row. Bobcats are playing sloppy led by Tettleton and Harden with costly turnovers.

Besides the botched handoff harden is running like a beast and is our best running option. No reason to bench him.

He does run well when he's cooking, but each turnover is like taking 50 yards rushing off the board. If not more. he has to hold on to the ball or take a seat.

If you repeatedly turn the ball over you should be benched. There are other players who can hang onto the ball and run just as well.

the fumble is hard to pin on Harden for sure - he was clearly running as if he didn't expect to have the ball... so it could have been either player that didn't know the play.

He fumbled twice last week.  One we recovered and the other Ball State recovered.

Fumbles aside, it's an utter embarassment that OUr starting running back has had an active arrest warrant in Athens County for more than one year:

When is the right time? That's an honest question.

How does nobody from the program push get it taken care of?

He's a traffic stop away from sleeping in Nelsonville.

Foolish...

I'll tell ya where we'll go. Someplace warm. A place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I'm talkin' bout a little place called... ATHENS.

An embarrassment for who?  The team? No.  It shows that maybe he doesn't have the money and isn't willing to sell autographs or OU memorabilia to get it.

The fans?  No.  I didn't even know about it until you brought it up, so it's not like there's been a lot of hype about it.

The Athens County prosecutors?  Maybe.  But they know where to get him if they want him.

As for the fumbles, today's was a mixup as to who was to grab the kickoff on the bounce; last week's was either he was trying to do too much or was being prevented from going down by a defender who was waiting for help.

After he ran for 126 yds and all but scored the Cats' third touchdown of the day, benching him would be friggin nuts.

I hope you have written a computer program to query those records automatically If you do this manually...well...I think you need a hobby.

Maybe Putnam Field can conduct a "Citizens Arrest" at the next home game?

Hee hee, I'll be the one with a net and a copy of Ohio Revised Code.

With a browser already open, it takes approx. 15 seconds to retrieve a case file. So, no thanks, I'm fine. Thanks for your concern, though.

Donte Harden's DUI was already on my radar screen, so about a week ago I punched his name in to see if he'd dealt with it properly.

Carl Jones' domestic violence charge, which was mysteriously dropped, is also on my radar screen.

Apparently you don't subscribe to the saying, "Character is what you do when nobody's looking."

Or maybe you just think that getting a DUI and then not paying the fine and failing to appear in court is perfectly acceptable.

At the very least, it concerns me that we have an important player who could easily become unavailable if he has any contact with the police.

Are we watching the same team this year? Donte has fumble 3 times and lost one.  Boykin has 2 lost fumbles. Blankenship has 2 lost fumbles. Brazill has 1 lost fumble. Snyder has 1 lost fumble.  Tettleton has 5 ints and 5 fumbles.  So you want to bench Harden and put in the back ups who run for less than a yard and a half per carry than Harden, and fumble more? Harden is 15th in the NCAA in All Purpose Yards and 2 nationally in Kick Off Returns. How does your plan help this team?

You want to blame last week on Harden?  Weller missed a kick, Shaw missed multiple tackles.  Christ, last week was lost on more than one play.

There's been some bad posts on here but this might take the award for worst.

No. But I do subscribe to the notion that what people do in their private lives is really nobody else's business unless they break a rule that affects you.  Again, whether he has paid the fine or failed to appear in court is between him and the Athens County court system.  They apparently have no problem with it, so why should we.  They know where he is and can come get him at any time.  We don't know what's going on behind the scenes.  I'm sure his lawyer has made some arrangement to keep him out of trouble.  To suggest that he be pulled off the team without knowing all the facts is absurd and irresponsible.

That's per player. Do you search for every guy on the roster? Just the starters? I'm just trying to get an idea how much time and energy you waste on this.

Because, this is a very negative and downright sad little preoccupation you have. If you're concerned about an individual player, perhaps you should contact the athletic department. WE CAN'T HELP YOU.

And adding this information to a thread concerning a players performance on the football field is in very poor taste. Lets just hope Wesley Lowery is not reading this. We might see our friend Mr. Harden shamed publicly on the front page of The Post.

Do you prefer I give it its own thread? I've done that. No, I do not check all the starters.

Ban me for what? It's not like I only post negative stuff, and this stuff is public record for a reason. Actually, I'm pretty sure Paul Graham's user name violates the terms of service. Unless Snoop the former Atlanta Hawk is doing yoga in Ewane Nanji's basement.

I'll kick down $20 toward paying Harden's fine. We could raise the money easily. I totally get that he's not from some rich family - sh%t he was driving a 2000 Hyundai. These guys should be getting paid anyway. I think it's ridiculous that they're not.

I've already explained my motivations for exposing the scofflaw tendencies, so go search the archives if you're curious.

Your justification is irrelevant I could understand if it was a serious charge of some sort or the guy was causing trouble around town but no Harden is working hard and graduating this year. Once again thanks for providing your support to Ohio Athletics! I doubt you look up any back ground info on the soccer or volleyball teams. Credit checks etc.

Is your IQ > 80?

So Snoop is the only Bobcat alum with the name Paul Graham?

Amazing at some of the idiotic posts here.  Not sure anyone can top Putnam though. Wonder if he actually graduated.

This is a non-issue. I've already mentioned my real name on another thread: Dontrell Flenorl-Hookfin the 3'rd.
