Let's hope the football team goes to bed early tonight.  Don't need any more problems.

Court Street was more packed than I can remember.

Long lines stretched out of the "student" bars.

Tony's was comfortable. I spent most of my evening there.

A couple of years ago or three, I ran into Tommy Freeman uptown in the middle of Court Street during Halloween.  He was having a good time just like everyone else and comporting himself in manner consistent with how he was raised.  I can't see any reason why the other athletes at OU wouldn't do the same.  Never could figure out why we would spend the money in the past to house teams off campus during the Halloween celebration.

Remember that Tommy was built from the ground up to comport himself in an acceptable manner.

The Post reports a "quiet" Halloween with "only" 148 arrests and 46 Court Street medical emergencies.

98 of those were by the Ohio Investigative Unit which, according to their website, "is committed to providing quality enforcement of state, federal and local laws with emphasis on liquor, food stamp and tobacco offenses...."  Didn't know that many OU students were on food stamps.

One would think that with all of the support personnel, coach talks, and captain influence that all at OU would understand what is an acceptable manner during Halloween weekend.

Do you get arrested for underage consumption or is it a citation like a traffice ticket?

The Ohio University group that put out the posters to fight culturally insensitve costumes got more attention when cited on an article about an NHL player who dressed as Jay-Z.
