The Good

*  Phil Bates getting involved with the offense.....he can be a game changer.

*  TT's spirals....sure he makes lack of experience mistakes...but throws a great ball and can run.

*  Participation had Huynh playing...but was that true freshman Justin Haser?

*  Hidden Gems POTG Thad Ingol who had about 6 tackles from his safety position.

* King  and Antwan Crutcher getting some quality time at DT.

*  quick strike capability with guys like LB and Harden.

*  a great one handed catch from wide receiver Gross.

*  Nate Carpenter.

The Bad

*  fumbles.

*  crazy hand offs.

*  a screen pass that's a lateral?....really?

*  officiating.

* the calls on Carpenter (no call face mask) and interference on Shaw (dude had his jersey).

* composure mistakes (Cat player slapping ball out of Kron players hand after the whistle).

Ugly

* OCF's Cat underwear...guess it could have been worse with kangaroo underwear....guess it's the thought that counts

Huynh did play. Does this mean Ohio will have almost its entire front line back against Temple? King was back this week. What is the status with Carl Jones?

Well, Doc, haven't you ever heard that the underclothes make the man?

"Roo underwear" now that's a VERY ugly thought!  Where do you get such horrendous ideas?  Been working overtime writing that script for the horror movie "The Roo-bot Who Ate Akron"?

Nate Carpenter is quickly becoming my favorite player, and one of our best players defensively. He is all over the place and has a knack for making big plays. SOOOOOO happy we get this guy for three more years.

Doc,

- Great call on Ingol. I was wondering when we'd see him. He was active with some attitude on Saturday.

- It looks like Keller is getting healthier. I thought he used his shoulders a lot more and, maybe it was me, but the harness on his shoulder looked smaller.

- Awesome catch by Jerry Gross.

One REAL good that I saw was a block by #88 Thompson.  Third quarter I think. Ohio Quarterback or running back was just about to hit the corner (visitors side) and an Akron LB was just about arms length away and about to make the tackle. Out of nowhere #88 just threw an enormous block.  Cleaned the defenders clock, kid didn't know what hit him. Definate highlight video if it was caught on film.  I think the result of the play was close to a touchdown.

On coach's show, Solich said Huynh would not be ready for Temple. He said Carl Jones was questionable as of today but had a chance to play vs. TEMPLE.

Not great news...Huynh out, Jones with only a chance, and you invented this nickname "Slouch."
