Posner (who wore the Ohio basketball jersey in his hit music video) put on a show last night and came out for his encore wearing an OHIO football jersey...it was awesome and needless to say the place went nuts! I like how he reps our university so much!

He actually went to Duke but performed at 7fest and referred to it as the most fun show he has ever done. On another occasion he performed at OSU and in an interview on local radio they asked if he was a buckeye fan. His reply was that he was not but he was a big Bobcat fan!

I'll bet that went over as big as when Jimmy Crum, an Ohio alumnus but O$U shill, asked Mike Haley, after his Portsmouth H.S. team had just won the state championship, if he wouldn't like to play his college ball in the wonderful confines of St. John Arena.  Mike, however, replied, "No, I'm going to Ohio University."  Whereupon, Crummy Jim, swallowed hard, tried to not act too surprised, and said, "Oh yes, that's a good school, too.  That's where I went to college."  (The quotes above are actually paraphrases from memory, but are very close to the actual words used.  I can remember this interview like it was yesterday, because I knew Mike had committed to Ohio, and I was rooting for the Spartans to win the championship.)

Boy, do I ever remember Jimmy Crum.  All a tO$U player had to do was make a routine layup and he be shouting "HOW ABOUT THAT!!! into the mike like the guy had just slam dunked the ball from midcourt or something..  I also remember his reaction when we beat the Buckeyes for the first time at St. Johns - stunned silence - just like the rest of the crowd.

You know, when somebody tells me they went to a Big Tedozen school, my usual reply is a patronizing "Oh, that's a good school."

It was a near sellout, a few seats in the back of the balcony were empty but they crowd was awesome. He also did a 9 fest chant during the show and said if they invite him he will be there. He loves the Bobcats thats for sure.

I was there in St. John that evening, so I didn't get to hear how Crummy Jim reacted.  That was a great game back in 1969.  I can still remember the ending of the game with the neat play drawn up by Coach Snyder that lead to a layup that gave us the 82-80 win.

You and I are both getting too old that we have vivid memories from 40 years ago.

True that we are old farts, but at least we know that 2nd Street is better than 1st Street unlike some other posters on this board.

Sorry, FSF and Doc, I'm tired of discussing the Ball State game so I'm changing the subject and starting another argument.
