Bowling Green is only a 6 point favorite. Miami is 35.5.

EKU played EMU really close last week and is getting votes in the 1AA poll this week.
Toledo is most likely among MAC teams to go to 2-0, maybe NIU will get there as well; Tulsa has been only so-so lately.
Ohio, Akron, EMU, MOFO, Buffalo and CMU should join the WMU-BSU winner at 1-1.
WMU-BSU loser, Kent and maybe BG go to 0-2
We will get by. We will get by. We will get by. We will survive.

We have better odds of beating Penn State than UMass does of beating Toledo! Lol

CMU might get blown out as a home favorite. The MAC is looking bad.

The MAC is clearly the bottom feeder of all FBS and arguably one of the worst conferences in all of D-I football.

That said the bobcats finished up playing Penn State today on ABC. The opportunities are no doubt there but the team fails to capitalize on them. Program can only point the finger at themselves.

I’m sorry but Ohio was never going to win that game today. Way too much talent difference. It could have been 70-7 if they wanted to do that.

My statement above about the MAC is not in regard to OUr loss today and yes Penn State could have hung 70 on us. If you look at how the MAC is doing as a Conference NO team has stepped up to the plate. It is not about today's loss, just look at how the MAC overall has done in this short season and how it did last year. I am sitting here watching App State up on Texas A&M 7-0 in the second quarter. Does that mean App State will win? Probably not but at least they play P-5 teams tight. Look at what they did with North Carolina last week. It is as if the MAC has no expectations other than to be the annual bottom feeder of all FBS.

Face of guys, the lMAC is at the bottom of the pile because we get the bottom of the recruits. It is all about recruiting playmakers. This conference does not get enough playmakers anymore.

That is beside the point. Conferences are about TV exposure and Ohio receives plenty of it in the MAC. Team isn't even good and its on ABC. At least this is the primary way I would judge conference adequacy. There was a time where you could argue if only the bobcats have exposure to grow the program they could take advantage of it.
Basketball has more of a problem with finding an opponent and TV appearances in the MAC compared to football.

Being in the footprint of the Big Ten doesn’t help. The Midwest is not exactly the center of the football talent pool anymore. That’s shifted to the south it would seem.
And it’s also about coaching, the pay, perks, facilities, attention etc is so low that any coach who is any good gets picked off by the other leagues after a few years.

Well I think the Bobcats did take advantage of the exposure and moved from the dregs of football. It seems Everybody has exposure now, so the MAC has lost some of that one time advantage.

The midweek exposure is as good as it gets for a smaller program. Better than buried at the bottom of P5 conference and rarely on.
No question the program is struggling and the MAC is not good but a strong MAC is a MAC Ohio isn't winning. Thus I don't understand the complaint of a weak MAC because it opens the door for a program to take it over. A different way of looking at it.

Can't argue what you are saying here but could some of those factors like name, image and likeness increase the gap WITHIN the MAC? My guess would be yes with all the possible opportunities.

BG gave up a TD as time expired to go to those 7 OTs. Then U@B gives up a 45 yard Hail Mary to Holy Cross as time expires to lose. Yikes.
On a positive note, NIU just retook the lead at Tulsa
