Special teams make a glaring difference in about 3 or 4 games a season, and it's often the difference between a winning season and a losing one.  Look at Penn State today: one missed FG, another blocked and a punt blocked.  Without those, Temps wouldn't have been close to an upset.  (Although, if it weren't for the special teams breakdowns, PSU probably would've kicked an FG instead of going for the TD late in the game.)  That's why I like Solich's emphasis on the kicking and return teams.

Wyoming has a nasty habit of beating MAC teams by one point.  Ugh.

From this morning's Beacon Journal.

Wyoming at BG.

BG trailing 28-21 in the 4th.

BG scores with 3 seconds remaining.  Kicking unit takes field.  Kicker misses.
