I was on turdnation and someone indicated only 2900 seats left. My guess is this will be our first advance sellout since Miami when Hookfin was still carrying the ball. There was a good student turnout for home opener and I hope this one is bigger!

The student set aside I believe is 5,000. 2,900 to go for the general public means that if the students show up big a sellout is likely. That is what I think happened at Gardner Webb, a huge student turnout offset lighter sales from the public. There is only so many tickets Ohio will sell to the public and I'm not sure there is a cap for selling to students. The official capacity is 24,000 with 2,000 seats on Victory Hill, though the university was willing to sell 3,000 seats there during the Pitt game.

The hated Turd in town, clear skies, temps in the 60s and a kick ass Bobcat team trying to stay undefeated...Why wouldn't you go to this game?  Glad to hear tickets are going fast.

The Athens Messenger today said that there were (I think, i don't have the paper in front of me) 3,500 tickets left.  I'm personally expecting a record number this Saturday.  If Peden doesn't sell out, i'll be disappointed.  .

The Messenger quoted the Marshall Assistant AD who said they sold 800 out of their 1,300 ticket allotment. He expects 1,300 to 2,500 Marshall fans in Peden on Saturday.

I look for 5-6K Herd fans.  Should be a great game.   Looks like a perfect night for football.

I was going to dispute the 5-6k claim, then I realized I am giving around half of my 22 tickets to this game to Marshall grads.  I expect them to bring a good crowd.  There will be a lot of Marshall fans coming from Parkersburg.

BTW, I have forwarded some of the pro-Herd posts from our message board and they just sigh in embarrassment.  I just don't understand how the few clowns can boast about being solidly mediocre year after year.  We know who we are.  I'm not sure Marshall does.

I hope someone is realizing we are selling a potential record amount of tickets at $30, with no discounts other than group rates.

I posted earlier in another thread that I thought there could be 8,000-10,000 Herd fans in attendance.  That is before I knew our allotment was only 1,300 tickets.  1,300?  Then this reporter in Athens is saying that we sent back 500 of those?  I don't understand the low number of tickets sold by MU.  I for one bought 11 of the $10 tickets and I know many others are claiming they did as well.  We'll see Saturday how The Herd fans turn out.  I think we will need all we can get to keep the crowd somewhat neutral.  I do not think this will be an easy game.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the $10 sale for a couple of days during the summer.

Actually the AD sent out a limited discount offer of $10 a couple weeks ago as a "loyalty" promotion but even so...This is an excellent point Mike!  Line the coffers!

Has anyone received their tickets purchased during the Fourth of July $10 discount days? My confirmation email at the time said they would be mailed 10 days in advance of game day. It's Tuesday, been at work so haven't checked today, but I haven't received them and I'm starting to wonder if they'll show. Tried to find a number to call the company, NeuLion Network, and can't find anything but submitting a query through a web page, not very useful.

Just checked the OU website and there are 1883 tickets let in the stands.  Not sure about the hill and standing room.

I got 3,058...

Also, bear in mind since they aren't sold through the site, that number wouldn't include any unsold family packs or tower club, etc.

Well - I called to make sure I could get the Bobcat Club Parking Pass - that already came in the mail. I ordered my $10 tickets MANY days before - still no tickets. So...My Concern...Line of HUNDREDS to get their tickets at Will Call (because they did not get them out in the mail in time), w/2 WINDOWS MAX, and maybe takes until 2nd quarter for all those folks (including me) to actually get in the stadium...... Common historical issue here maybe - sorta same dilemma as running out of hot dogs at big December B Ball games before halftime. Any one else agree this is the likely embarrasing (and FRUSTRATING to out of towners who will drive MUCHO MILES just to be there and support the cats) yet TOTALLY predictable situation? And - wait to see what that means for the Herd fans who drove many miles just to stand in a friggin' line forever (yeah - that will help our "cred" - and likely lead to - who knows what kinda disturbances?????)

My concerns, as well. I bought season tix on Monday and was told to pick them up at will call before the game. Brought back memories of lines stretching around the corner of Peden and fans getting into Peden in the second quarter. You'd think the AD would plan accordingly but there is precedent of the opposite.

Come on, B2, you expect the AD to plan for you purchasing your season tickets this Monday and wanting them delivered by mail to you before Saturday's game...during arguably the busiest ticket processing week of the year?  I'm sure you got your season ticket form back in June like everybody else...

Make sure you get to Will Call very early.  It will be a zoo.  Usually is for Marhall games.

I want as many Marshall fans in the stadium as possible at kickoff.

They shame the meek OU fans into action.

Here is a ticket update article from Herdzone.com dated 09/11/2011 stating our ticket office had exhausted it's allotment and asking Herd fans to purchase tickets through the OU ticket office.- herdzone.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/091111aaa.html

Section 111 is sold out, 112 has about 65 seats remaining, 110 has 173 seats available and 109 still has a little over 300 remaining. Not sure how big those sections are but I would assume at least 1,000 each with the exception of 109?

My group's tickets are in 105, we picked them up during the $10 offer this summer. It seems like everyone I have spoken to has tickets in either 104,105 or 106. My buddy called to reserve a spot for his RV and a couple of our cars on the lot behind the Convo. Yesterday he was told that they can accomodate up to 20 RVs back there and that they have pre-sold 3/4 of them. I can't believe it's only $25 per RV and $5 per car for Friday night through Sunday morning. Heck of a deal.

I would guess probably 3,000 to 5,000 Herd fans. The idea that we'll have 10,000 there is just unrealistic though.

  SBH,
Ordering season tix this late in the game is on me. The late decision was due to an unimaginative and unattractive home schedule (especially for out-of-towners with the weeknight games) and waiting for my daughter's fall soccer schedule to be released so I could match up her games v. Ohio home games. Finally decided on Sunday to go ahead and purchase the season tix and didn't expect them to be mailed out. However, I know from experience how poorly planned our AD can be for big crowds (football and basketball) when it comes to will call and concessions. I don't think I'm out of line believing the AD can improve in this area.

BTW, my wife's decision to join me and my son this Saturday is still dependent on hearing where you want us to meet you for dinner.
