Did I hear an OU fan carping about Solich going for 2 last year?  I thought it was a balsy move.  Had the tables been turned, I would have been FURIOUS if Holliday kicked the PAT.  Win or lose, I would have supported Holliday doing what Solich did.  God knows I would love to have seen that idiot Mark Snyder coach aggressively like that during his lousy tenure!  Solich is the man.  He's done a hell of a lot at OU.

The 2 pointer was the right call. On the road, you play to win and go home. We did the same thing at North Texas and won. The wrong call was the first half offense of QB off-tackle, QB off-tackle, QB off-tackle, punt.

Play calling by Solich (boring runs) was just an homage to Snyder.  GOD I hate that douchbag.  I just don't think my humble MU education, nor even my not so humble legal education has equipped me with a sufficient vocabulary to express this hatred.  Can't he just die a slow, painful, lonely death yet?  That MIGHT be sufficient to counter the suffering of MU fans during his years at "coach."  I actually feel more bitter having written that.

The point I made to friends who are Marshall fans was that Snyder wanted to run a Jim Tressel offense without Ohio State athletes or the questionable recruiting & retention programs to get & keep them. It works great against teams with inferior athletes but not so much against more or equally talented teams. Perfect example: 2009 Pizza Bowl (which was Snyder's team even if Minter was the interim HC...still don't know why you guys got rid of him. I think you guys are probably bowl eligible last year if you have some more defensive continuity. You definitely don't have the WVU debacle.).

The two point conversion was the right call. Solich always plays to win, that is one reason the program is turning around.

Hanging in there!

Yes, play to win the game. Ohio isn't in the running for a national championship, so go for the win. If you don't make it, at least you gave it your best shot.

Do not kick the field goal when you have the ball on the one yard line against Tennessee.

Notice that Toledo went for it on 4th down deep in tosu territory last Saturday and scored a TD. That meant they had a chance to win the game at the end. Good for them.

Not only was it the right call, the play would have worked but its hard to catch the ball when your laying on your back after you get knocked down.

You don't go for the win if you're going for the mythical national championship?

Solich should've coached him to stay on his feet.
