As we get closer to game 1 let's take a look at some non-starters who could garner some pt.  There are of course more than just these guys...but through tweets and articles and practice observations these are some of the guys who are standing out....maybe you can add ones that you've observed:

 QB-Derrius Vick

Vick has the look and could possibly be in line to be the second team QB.  His athletic prowess (basketball star)       is obvious and his composure so far makes him look like an expereinced QB. His HS stats weren't eye popping    ....yet there are lots of reasons why a QB can have low number from o-line to WR's and even type of offense.  If he's coachable we could see him moving up quickly.

RB-Beau Blankenship

Beau stood out the most for me of any player at last Saturday's scrimmage. His quickness and elusiveness seemed off the chart...albeit just one practice that I observed....but it's nice to have some RB depth.

TE-Derek Roback

It's nice to have a TE who can score in the end zone and Roback looks to be that kind of guy. As it will be hard to keep the athleticism of Bates on the bench...this can also be said for Roback. Tight end size.....4.5 speed....knowledge of QB play and route running....spells a possible surprise scorer for us this year.

WR-Jerry Gross

We are loaded with WR's...but this senior can get open and spread the field. I think he was a long jump champion in the state of Georgia so his athleticism is not in question. This could be the breakout year for this senior.

OL-J.D. Bales

Another senior who has paid his dues. Not a starter but at 6'5"-320 he provides nice depth at the center position.  Look for him to get some work in certain situations.

DL-Antwan Crutcher

I'm counting on this true freshman to help us on the D line. We're a little small there and this 280 pounder should be able to help plug the middle....has looked good in practice.

LB-A.J. Grady and Joe Stefanski

Had to go with a tie on this one after watching Saturday's practice.  Stefanski can play outside and inside linebacker and always seems to be around the ball. It was neat hearing Coach Collins cheering on Grady with his interception at Saturday's practice on the Relentless show.

CB-Jamil Shaw

We need depth here and this guy could provide it....both against the pass and the run.....good size and speed and has looked good in practice.

S-Nate Carpenter

Great pedigree from the Lancaster Carpenter's football factory. He was a stud in high school on both offense and defense.  He's intelligent and a hard worker as well.....and safety is a position where we need some bodies....look for him to give 110%.

Really appreciate the report, Doc.  Thanks very much!

That was great Doc!

In addition, I'm going to throw in Donte Foster. Perhaps its cheating since he was a contributor last year; but I think he's certainly solidified his status thus far in camp as the 3'rd or 4'th option at WR. He also seems like a good team guy and a character :)

Also, I'm going to throw in one more WR in Tyler Futrell. I know nothing about this guy, but his name keeps popping up in Joshua Fraley's blog. It's crowded at receiver, but maybe he'll get his shot at some point this year.

Agree about Foster and Futrell....and also throw in true freshman Landon Smith.

Futrell looked really quick on saturday.....he and Gross similar typr receivers who can stretch the D.

I'd like to throw in CB Lorenzo Fisher...His name pops up everywhere and when your stud Sr WR calls him out as a Fr standout I think it says a lot...

Its good to see depth/speed at the MLB spot behind Noah Keller.

It doesn't look like Stefanski played against NMSU.....against GW with Keller's hammy problem it may be someone like Blake Jones and/or more nickel and dime DB packages that plays most of the game.

My Hidden Gem guy of the game is DE Nic Barber.....with 3 sacks and  DL Jones goin down lets hope he can stay healthy and RELENTLESS.
