Sometimes you actually see this position lumped together with another position at certain smaller schools. Ohio State also has the largest athletic department, sponsors the most teams (37) and the most athletes, so they should have the largest or one of the largest compliance offices.  As for the head coach having "no knowledge of"  no head coach has knowledge of violations, find me one who says, "yeah I knew it was going on".  That is whats wrong with college athletics, the Million dollar man gets a pass and the $40,000 a year guy gets the blame and fired.  One of the more ugly sides of College Athletics and happens way too often.  "Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted; the trouble is I don't know which half." Dont be surprised one bit if one or even multiple people on staff get the pink slip for this one. If this gets as ugly as I think it will, heads will definitely roll, albeit ones that shouldn't.
