I thought his athleticism would play up more at a lower level. Maybe New Haven is a D-II defensive powerhouse. Let me re-phrase--size and athleticism. Maxwell has a great arm and very good speed--and was pretty large even for an FBS QB. The difference between D-1 and D-2 is often the size of the players playing the front 7. I was more surprised his rushing numbers weren't better since he would be able to break tackles and gain extra yards. I don't know the circumstances of the game so I can only speculate.
