Has anyone in the athletic department given any consideration to putting together a charter bus deal for the Pitt game? It isn't often that we get a nonconference game in close proximity and I would think there might be some student interest in attending the game since it could be a relatively easy trip up and back in one day. The same might be considered for the Marshall game in Huntington the following week as well. We keep screaming that we want to see more student involvement in the athletic programs. Maybe we need to provide a few resources to help to generate this interest.
Just putting this out there for those who have more access to resources than I do.

Seems like a great idea, but quessing how these things work, it’s probably too late to do. Why not do that to other nearby games every year?

Years ago, they used to designate one road game a year as the "migration game." It was often the Miami game. They would have buses for students and other fans to use to attend these games. Might be worth at least discussing the possibility of such a thing again.

I find it hard to believe this couldn't be done IF the University wanted to do it. I've seen many high schools can make similar arrangements for getting charter busses to regional/state tournaments in less than a week I'm sure that those in power at Ohio could do the same. I guess the bottom line is there truly a desire to do so or is all of their talk about increasing student involvement just idle talk.

Biggest question, especially for the Pitt game.

If and/or how many tickets are available for the visitors ?

As well as Pitt draws, ticket availability would not be an issue.
