Interesting to see where we stack up, assuming impartiality. Not too surprising to see UB & Miami at the top of the heap.

It is very interesting to see how people from around the country see the situation. Their view doesn't necessarily align with the view of those on BA, nor is it necessarily correct. In particular, I note that they view Ohio as having a good chance of success in football, and a low chance of success in Men's Basketball, while many on BA have proposed that Ohio should decrease emphasis on football, and focus on Basketball because they believe that Ohio has a much better chance of success in Basketball. I'd have to say that the BA view lines much better with history. Another thing that seems odd is the low chance they give to Football success by Miami, which also doesn't match up well with their history.

My suspicion is that most of those polled don't know much about the MAC, beyond perhaps the last few years of history.

I believe the ratings are too skewed to recent years. For example, Ohio's potential in MBB is rated 8th in the MAC. I think everyone knows our potential to be developed by a new AD is higher than 8th.

These ratings may be off somewhat, but in the past 15 plus seasons, the Bobcats have not won the MAC East once in hoops. Ohio ended up the 2nd seed when JC was the coach as they lost to the Zips twice in the regular season. Frank has been at the top of the east four times, but has yet to win a title in Detroit. It is a much different in basketball as all teams are able to get to Cleveland, no matter their record. No MAC football team would ever get the opportunity to play for a league championship as a 6th, 7th or 12th seed. The regular season is so much more important in football.

EMU should’ve been straight 12’s. Those two 11 rankings they got ahead of Ball State are Poppycock. How can EMU be ahead of Ball State in “quality of life” when everyone knows Muncie is vastly superior to Ypsilanti

I've seen crazier things happen.

This.

If any of our new AD candidates are leaning on this for decision making purposes, I don't want them as our AD.
