I know he played in 2014 for a game or two, then had to take a medical redshirt that year after, which I believe was due to an injury to his MCL. He also missed a major portion of 2015 after a knee injury, and then again in 2016. I think he played in 6 games in 2015, and 4 games in 2016.

Probably would work if he played for an osu or bama or UM. But not for a MAC-level school.

I would love to have Papi back, he has probably signed with an agent though.

Nobody despises to lose more than I do. That's got me into trouble over the years, but it also made a man of mediocre ability into a pretty good coach. Woody Hayes

I don't understand what you are saying. Shane Yates, Travis Carrie, Nathan Carpenter, and Durrell Wood have applied for a sixth year and gotten it.

Yes, to apply for, and get a 6th year, he has to want to come back. If he thinks now is his best shot to make the NFL, then there is no reason to apply for another year.

I know it's not always accurate, but his OhioBobcats.com profile says he played 1 game in 2014, 8 in 2015, 12 in 2016, 9 in 2017 and 13 in 2018. If those numbers are accurate, he played well over half of the games in four different seasons so I can't imagine he'd be granted a medical redshirt.

It's probably accurate, so yes, he wouldn't be eligible for an extra year. Thanks for that information.
