I saw this earlier this week and didn't have time to post it. He's stepping down to help take care of his wife, who has a heart condition. https://www.roanoke.com/sports/liberty-football-coach-tur...

All the best to both of them.

Saw this morning that Hugh Freeze may be taking over at Liberty: https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2018/12/07/ap... /

Oh, that's sad. They are both very nice people. I wish them the best.

He has great character. My step mother is best friends with duval Patrick, he is doing the same thing.

Nobody despises to lose more than I do. That's got me into trouble over the years, but it also made a man of mediocre ability into a pretty good coach. Woody Hayes

It should not be a big surprise that an institution led by a Falwell is willing to forgive when it comes to these athletic hires. Look no further than their willingness to look the other way when it comes to the current administration in the White House.
