The regular season is done for nearly all the teams and we have 81 bowl eligible teams to fill the 78 slots. VaTech might also get in next week as they still play next week. Here's the rundown. Teams playing in their conference championship games are marked with an asterisk. Liberty is 5-6 but should be out because (a) they play two 1AA teams this year and should have to win seven games for eligibility and (b) they're in transition and should get a bowl only with NCAA approval, which likely won't happen given the plethora of eligible teams.

It doesn't look good for six-win teams from G5 conferences that have more than enough teams to fill bowl slots. At the moment that would be SMiss, Fiami, Wyoming and ULM.

With Bama, Clemson, ND and Georgia being the top four in this week's playoff vote, the ACC and SEC would each be one team short of filling their commitments. A VaTech win Saturday would fill the ACC's last bowl slot. Bama could probably lose to Georgia and stay in, but Georgia would drop out with a loss. Clemson might stay in with a loss, depending on who else wins. UCF will likely get at least a NY6 bowl and make the AAC one short.
