If Buffalo loses Friday and Ohio wins, Fiami would win the East based on tiebreakers. The MACCG then would have 6-6 Fiami vs 7-5 NIU. To put it another way, we would be favored at a neutral site against any other MAC team. Other years when the chances slipped away, it felt acceptable to me because I never felt we were the best team in the conference. This year it stings to not get a shot. I felt the same thing about last year as well (see Ohio vs Toledo result in 2017).
