The coaches handled this great as well. http://projects.thepostathens.com/SpecialProjects/homecom...

Nobody despises to lose more than I do. That's got me into trouble over the years, but it also made a man of mediocre ability into a pretty good coach. Woody Hayes

Nice article.

Maleek needs more carries.

The next article needs to be one describing his role in a successful Ohio season.

Boy is this true. Even when both are healthy, it seems as though A.J. gets two-thirds of the carries. I like A.J. - huge heart - but Irons is a much better back.

I believe that if he had 20 carries per game, he would bust at least one. He has better vision than AJ but has the tendency to run high, which negates his power and he always has hamstring or muscle injuries. I don’t know if he stretches enough. He is a little quicker to the hole as well. With his mother in town for the first tome since 2016, I hope he has a great game and I hope his mother has a great time. I am glad that he didn’t transfer.

+1

Good analysis . . . I would only add that I think once he gets to the hole he has a better ability to make a cut against the flow of the defense and thereby get extra yards. AJ is more of a straight-ahead runner who tries (sometimes successfully) to just bowl people over.
