Ohio Athletics Announces Enhanced Football Game Day Events

ATHENS, Ohio– In preparation for the upcoming 2018 football season, the Ohio athletics department announced several updates in an effort to continue to develop the gameday experience for fans at Peden Stadium. The enhancements include the new Bobcat Nation Pavilion, Peden Patio, Ohio Bobcat Club End Zone Club and a new Bobcat Authentic Team Store. 

"There will be so many exciting additions this year to an already fun and festive game day atmosphere for fans," Director of Athletics Jim Schaus said. "New hospitality areas in and outside the stadium, new concessions zones, new ticket office, increased restrooms and more."

Bobcat Nation Pavilion
A new pre-game fan fest area open to all fans, including Ohio University students, will be located along South Green Drive adjacent to the north end of Peden Stadium. The Bobcat Nation Pavilion will be open for the first three games of the year with festivities starting three hours before kickoff each of those games.  

The new fan fest area will include a large screen TV broadcasting college football games, music, concessions grill and Pepsi products, local food trucks, cornhole and other outdoor games, a kids zone with a bounce house and much more. Ohio students will receive discounts on the Bobcat Nation Pavilion food offerings when they present their university ID at the marketing table.  

Peden Patio
New concessions area under the Sook Academic Center will include beer selections from Jackie O's, specialty jumbo pretzels, a deluxe hotdog cart and general concessions. New family and handicap accessible restrooms will also be available, and fans will be able to view the game from this end zone area.  

OBC End Zone Club
An exclusive to Ohio Bobcat Club Captain Members and above (minimum $900/year donation). This club will be located in the Sook Academic Center and includes a viewing terrace to watch the game. 

Bobcat Authentic Team Store
In partnership with adidas and Follett Bookstore, this new Peden Stadium retail location will offer the best Bobcat gear in town. It will be located near Gate 2 on the northwest corner of the stadium and will include a unique photo opportunity with a life-size Rufus Bobblehead. 

New Ticket Office Location & Peden Stadium Gates
The football ticket office is now located on the west end, ground floor of the new Sook Academic Center. In addition, please note that Peden Stadium Gates 2 and 3 will be back in operation this season. Fans can enter any gate at the stadium, no matter the location of their seats.  

To go along with all the new features at Peden Stadium for gameday, Tailgreat Park will still be located just across Richland Drive across from Peden. This picturesque park becomes a hotspot for pre-game tailgating and catered events. The park features entertainment areas for children as well as a beer garden for the adults.

"When combining all the new changes with a high scoring offense and a team picked to win the MAC, it's never a better time to be a season ticket holder and enjoy all the fun at Peden Stadium this fall," Schaus said.
