Weird story from the start.

Bigfoot has been seen in Athens more than this kid.

Who remembers that seven footer who committed here for hoops, completely vanished from the face of the Earth, then re-emerged at Oklahoma State? Didn't we nickname him Bigfoot?

He made it in and then OUt. The circus had longer runs in Athens.

If Harris will be back this fall, I'm not concerned about this. It would be nice to add one more QB, though, perhaps a Freshman or PWO. With Harris, Ohio has 4 QBs on the roster, including Wither and Winters. Four is adequate, but five is better. If Harris won't be able to play, I'm not confident at all about only having 3 QBs on the roster.

I hate this is a concern, but yeah. It's not ideal. Puts your back against the wall for 2025, where you might NEED a portal QB - and as we've seen, those are hard to get and harder to keep.

Winters and/or the Missile from Mississauga have to pan out or we're gonna be in a real tight spot next season.

By all accounts, Winters more than looks the part - in practice. Who knows if that translates. I would expect one of the two to transfer depending on who is named the #2 QB.

FWIW, Wither was listed as the backup for Navarro against Georgia Southern. I doubt that the battle between those two is over, though. Hopefully both will be very good QBs.

I heard Harris will be back next year. Ohio is in great position at QB with everyone who is there now. Adding another QB from the portal will likely put another one into the portal from who is there already.

I don't know the young man from Adam. He has made himself look like a flake based on his actions in the portal this year. We don't need that from the position that is the field leader of our offense.

Not as sure about CJ. Hopeful but not confident you see him this season.

If that’s the case then a Freshman QB might be in order

Portal QB pickings are slim but I did notice an Army transfer QB from Saline Michigan who looks like someone who fits OUr offense.

A freshman is certainly appropriate. There are no QBs in this class yet, and taking one a year is normal. In this world of transfers, it's important to have depth at all positions, especially QB.

Isn't there a 5'th string OSU quarterback that would like to be a star just 74 miles south in Athens?
And go back to Columbus to play the Bucks in year 2025 with a chip on his shoulder !

I rest my case.....so Ohio gets a OSU quarterback from OK, not Columbus. Looks like Gunnar is a lefty and should be challenging for MAC defenses.

I don't think Gunnar would have been any good, but it's still kind of a shame. I was envisioning every time Gunnar got criticized his dad would pop up and yell, "Are you kidding me? Come after me! I'm a man!"

I wanted him to go up to court street and film himself getting carded and yelling "I'm 22, I'm a man!"

Not so fast my friend.

The only defenses he will be challenging will be strictly Madden based.
