He was listed as a punter at Vandy. He didn't punt the last couple years, but as a Sophomore, punted 5 times for an average of 33.2. Four of the five punts were downed inside the 20. In high school he averaged 48.6 yards a punt, and made 8 of 9 field goal attempts.

I believe that will give Oho four kickers competing for 2 spots (P, PK), three of then new to the Bobcats:

Jared Wheatley, grad xfer
Gianni Spetic, Freshman
Alex Kasee, Freshman

Plan I heard was to add a punter to compete for the starting job but wanted someone to handle kickoffs.

I think he means we aren't just sitting back and seeing what the freshman can do (as we have done in the past and gotten really lucky with some great kickers). They're casting a wide net, just in case.
