I've seen him play when he was at Green Bay. Explosive offensive player.

Yea, his GB numbers are impressive. Boals is following on Twitter. Is he considered a PG or an undersized SG?

I think he's a shooting guard.

I hope that bobcat1998 and the optimist are correct about BRod. And I promise bobcat1998 that I won't claim that "I knew he'd come around" if he has a bounce back year in 2022-23 as long as you don't claim "I knew he shouldn't have been in the starting lineup" if he doesn't.

Put me in as well in being hopeful BRod will recover.

He is a SG, Towns and BRod also following him on IG

Sylla goes to Towson, and Keshaun Saunders from Toledo transfers to Portland State.

Tyree Boykin entered the portal like 5 hours ago and Boals started following him on both IG and Twitter. D2 All-American, among other accolades. 19.5 ppg and 38% from 3. Probably worth monitoring. Only 6’1, though.

We do still have one scholly left correct? I think this is our roster of schollies:
PG: Hunter, Sheldon
SG: M. Brown, E. James
SF: AJ Brown, Roderick, Adelodun
PF: Hadaway, Clayton, Wilson
C: Witznizer, Ezuma

Any word on McDay? I hope he personally is ok but I feel like our young bucks need time to grow and if he were to return it would hinder that growth by clogging up our wings. I love our wings of Hunter, Miles, EJ, Roderick and AJ and would love to see Adelodun get some run too.

Amari Davis to Wright State. That'll soften the blow of losing Tanner Holden.

Anderson Mirambeaux from Cleveland State to Fiami. 6'8 305 pound center, not very spectacular stats.

While we’re waiting to see how the last scholly is filled, what’s everyone’s preference? A Gabe equivalent (former high ranked recruit, P5 with little PT/stats), Hunter equivalent (mid-major with solid stats), lower level (JUCO-D3) with above average stats — like Sylla’s? I don’t see us as a landing spot for proven P5 players or mid-major players like a Tanner Holden.

I don't care where the player comes from, but I think the last scholarship should be used on someone the staff has faith can be a consistent scorer at the D1 level immediately. Ideally it would be a big guard or wing player.

Do you think Ohio is still looking to fill that last schollie after the official announcement this week?

What official announcement — of Gabe and Jaylin? I’d like to think they’d be looking to make the team better this season (let’s say grad transfer) if the opportunity presents itself.

How does the official announcement of Gabe and Jaylin joining the program impact whether or not the staff decides to use the last schollie?

Doesn't "impact" anything.

I hope they do fill the last schollie with an athletic wing. Would be great to get that news soon.

I hope we fill the last spot. An athletic wing would be a huge addition. I'd also love a D-2 grad transfer like Schmock this past season to give us some extra experience.

I've seen crazier things happen.

I could see that being the route. As I mentioned above, Boals started following Tyree Boykin almost as soon as he entered the portal and the night before the official announcement of Jaylin/Gabe. Whether or not it’s Boykin, I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t use it.

I'd take a guy who plays OK enough defense and only worthwhile offensive weapon is a lethal outside shot. I mean I'd like a complete player with a lethal outside shot but I'm not thinking that is gonna appear out of thin air.
