I'm hoping to poke my head inside The Convo on Saturday for the first time since February. Maybe we'll get to see a little workout/open gym action. I wouldn't say I've given up on him as much as I'd say I ask why he's getting minutes in crunch time when he's a defensive liability. The Kent game in particular didn't make sense to me. Dwight had one foul, and coach was subbing in Gabe inside the last 4 minutes several times. I don't profess to be a basketball genius, but I don't see Gabe, at this time, as a better defender than Dwight, and he's definitely not as good on the offensive end, or on the glass. Exactly, I think he hasn't regained his conditioning since coming back from his injury. I think Gabe needs to spell him so that he can be more productive when he's on the court. Yes, we are not as good a team with Gabe in the game, but I think Gabe is trying to play a role and he's learning as he goes along. He does appear to be team player.
