I’m still not over that series of brain farts. Reggie Bass sent that boy flying across the floor like it was WWE Royal Rumble. Then JMU had the most open drive to the bucket I’ve ever seen.

Fun game.

Still hate that giant Chargers-esque Bolt on the floor.

That wasn't Bass w/the offensive foul, it was Bekelja (Sincere Carry's brother) with the push off. (and I'm sure Kent folks are saying that was a blatant illegal screen to get the kid open for the layup to send game into OT. ... They might be right.)

Tough way to lose a big game.

Heartbreaking, would have been a great win for the MAC after JMU's big win in Lansing.

I think Sullinger has developed into an all-MAC performer.

Bass and Sullinger rival our 1-2 punch. Thought * maybe * we had an edge, but Sullinger is a beast. Bass didn't miss a step.

+1. Sullinger has taken a huge step forward. It's gonna be a dog fight for the MAC this season.

Can somebody please explain to me with 1.2 seconds left...up two...ball underneath its own basket...how Kent State didn't move every player down to JMU foul line and just lob it to the foul line and have somebody touch the ball? The game is over. What Sendy did to even put a player in position to push off is inexcusable. I will blame the genius Jim Christian for that idiotic decision.

Just wow.

I think you placed the blame squarely where it belongs. Just wait until he get elevated to AD at Kent!

Zips up by 14 then lead cut to 4, where it stood for seemingly a long time. Then to 1 or 2 and then Southern Miss went ice cold and just like that it was 18 points Zips lead.

Announcers said Southern Miss had NEVER lost to a MAC team and Zips ended that streak while John Groce and wife picked up career win number 300! (Post game show Groce said his wife asked if it was her achievement as well!!)

Nicholls beat LSU tonight by a game winning 3 from a familiar face. Jalen White, who starts for them and is shooting pretty well from three in the past two games.

Duquesne is the real deal. Beat Charleston 90-72. It was in control most of that game.

Davidson also beat Maryland, faces Clemson today. Hopefully a bounce back season for it.

Currently watching UB vs South Alabama - crazy how Alumni has gone from one of the best atmospheres in the MAC in the 2010s to having almost no students show up for around two straight games. Almost no noise in that place - I can remember watching out game against them during the 2021-22 season - very solid atmosphere, and it was even crazier rewatching their games from the late 2010s under Nate Oats.

Crazy how far UB has fallen. Felcher does not look like the answer at point with really only Chatman and Adams being the sole scoring threats on the team. Boldin Jr doesn’t look too shabby, but its looking like it’s going to be a rough year up in New York.

Coach Lewis re-energized the Muncie fans and BSU student body last year before the Cardinals lost Sparks, Sellers, Coleman, Bumbalough, et al. through the portal. Still an impressive turnout today as BSU beats ODU.

Not sure any team in the country has been hit as hard as BSU in the portal. But with over 350 teams and the propensity of today's college athlete thinking the grass is always greener at their next stop, or the next, I imagine their are other teams equally affected by the portal.

Will coach Bruno energize the DeKalb fan base and the NIU student body? He has upgraded the Huskies' lineup and NIU is my early most improved team in the MAC. They have length, youth and athletes and they'll play the first few weeks without their best player, Williams. Up 15 over App St early in the 2nd half.

They are playing App State super well! They should be a difficult opponent this year, we shouldn’t underestimate them. Another thing - a lot of App State fans there.

Edit - Welllllllll NIU is blowing that lead now

UT came back from 16 down in the 2nd half to beat Louisiana in the final game of the MAC-SB Challenge. Cochran, who has played for every team in the MAC West not located in Michigan, doesn't start but is probably their best all-around player. He'll score, rebound, set up his teammates and get his hands on a lot of balls on defense.

MAC wins the first round of the challenge 7-5 with MAC teams going on the road in Feb.

I watched the NIU-App State game. NIU looked athletic and had good size. They struggled a little when App switched to zone, but finally solved it and went on to a 91-78 victory. One bit of good news: They've redone their floor and players no longer blend into the dark floor and sometimes disappear from camera view as this dribble down the floor.

Army giving Indiana all it can handle on big10 network. Former Bobcat assistant coach Kevin Kuwik became Army's head coach last spring.

MAC went 7-5 in the MAC-SBC Challenge and moves to 8-5 in the MAC-SBC challenge as NIU wins at Georgia St. Bruno has upgraded the talent at NIU and has the Huskies playing hard. They move to 3-1 and are still waiting for last year's leading scorer Keshawn Williams to play his first game.

OK, but that game doesn't count just like out game with Marshall won't. It isn't a challenge game.

Lots of games on tonight. Plenty of close ones. Just finished JMU eking it out on Radford. Now onto UMass/Harvard OT

Saw a Providence player throw a haymaker to the dome of a K State player earlier.

Miami transformed into dunk city against Coppin State.

Keep an eye on Northern Illinois ... they are playing pretty well early in the season.
