Brilliant strategy. Crump, 24% at the line on the year, throws up 2 line drive bricks. First bounces in. Second misses but is rebounded by WMU big man, followed by put-back.

Zippy is absolutely imploding. Losing to two directional Michigan schools in the same week...yikes.

OK, so Stetson just hung on vs APSU to punch their ticket.

But that skinny 7-footer at Stetson is a Minnesota transfer?

Could Stetson really have more NIL $$ or was this simply a case of snoozing on a player that really could have helped us because his stats in the Big 10 as a backup were not impressive looking? Wiz didn't have mind blowing number at Louisville.

This skinny Thompson kid doesn't do much on offense but he is a rim protector and rebounds and doesn't fumble the ball away every time he touches it.

I typically do not watch a lot of college women's basketball but I did find myself watching some of Big10 title game (Caitlyn Clark), ACC title game (ND 5-5 frosh Hildago is must see), and SEC title game (undefeated SC and defending champs LSU).

For those that follow women's hoops more than me, is there more trash talking, bad sportsmanship and fighting these days? Or is it something that's always been part of the game but is now seen more with more exposure for women's hoops along with social media?

The fight during the SEC title game, that resulted in several ejections, got me thinking about this. But it appears to be an unfortunate growing trend.

I think as interest and attendance/energy grows, so too does the drama and emotion.

People act like it is a travesty when someone shoves an opponent or whatever. Truth is it is all good for the game. Imagine the ratings if SC & LSU meet in the final 4.

JMU won convincingly.... win #31

Arky State ended up 11-7 in their conference. A shame they won't get an NIT bid. They really rebounded from a a crappy start to the season.

The NIT needs to expand it's field size. There were 43 bowl games for football = 86 teams out of 143. 60%

There are over 350 D-1 basketball teams. Tournaments like the CBIT or whatever that are like the "Shasta Cola" of the post-season world don't make up for it.

Anyone else who will be following the CAA title game Tuesday night? Geno Ford and Stony Brook going up against top seed Charleston in DC.

Also, Ohio graduate Todd May, who's been the head coach at Division II Concord since 2016, they got an at-large berth to the D2 Tournament

Pretty cool for Geno. After the Bradley fiasco, his career could have been left for dead. Getting Stony Brook on the schedule next year for Ohio would make too much sense, but maybe Boals and Geno don't want to do it because of their friendship.

Pat Kelsey to Xavier or Louisville? Or does he spend the next decade turning CoC into the Gonzaga of the CAA?

Toledo fans on twitter whining that they are at a disadvantage because they always have to play at 11am. 😂

They probably feel about the MAC tournament championship the way we feel about the MAC football championship. Toledo has won four straight MAC titles but only once since 2008 has a program other than Ohio, Akron, Kent State, or Buffalo won the tournament. Many of the other programs have been consistently bad but, obviously, Toledo hasn't.

Kent State played at 11 too. Is this an advantage in the later rounds? If you play the last game like we are you have 3 tip offs in about 48 hours. If you play the first then it is about 56 hours. It isn't much but given the short turnaround it is more than 15% more rest time. Or would you rather have the consistency of playing at the same time everyday?

Yes good comp. The last 20 years Toledo football is Ohio Basketball and Toledo Basketball is Ohio Football.

Toledo women lose in OT to Buffalo. I'll admit, Buffalo clearly got away with a foul on Toledo's last shot in regulation. But alas...

Difference is we've won 5 straight bowl games and they've lost 8 straight NIT games.
