35 second drive there for OU. Including the punt hangtime.

Baffling stuff.

Keye Thompson flip tackle on 4th down needs to be an SC top 10.

Run the damn ball wide
Three runs up the middle. Just playing for a field goal. Let them stay in the game. Why not put them away there?

This is awful.

TD puts it away. 3 straight runs into the pile.

Spetic coming out for another FG…

We had better go out and get a kicker that can put the ball in the end zone.

Miami playing for a championship, we are playing for a stupid ass banner to a bowl game that might not exist in five years. #failure

For a win that’s about the most disappointing game. I’ve seen in a long time. I am getting less and less impressed with this coaching staff. The last five games have sucked. Fortunately, we are in a shit league.

What happened to last year's offense? Every single returning player on offense had a worse year. Convince me of a single offensive player who was better this year than last. And don't say Allison since he didn't play. He was a shell of his 2021 self.

The offense looked more balanced at times tonight with Bangura bouncing the ball into open space. Some nice creative playcalls and smartly timed Rourke keeps. Still missing the big, downfield passes connecting this year.

SHANE BONNER. What a game - it's an entirely different game without his pick 6. Houston and Thompson were amazing, as usual.

The penalties were untimely and nearly killed us. Been a big problem all year.

Even though we were eliminated from the MACC, this was a great night. 8 wins, 1sf since 2011 vs CMU. Let's get going, slaughter Akron next week, and go in strong to a bowl game.

PS: I hope Miami gets trounced by Toledo in the MACC.

What a day at the Convo.....Wow!

Well, we were due for this win! Hahaha!! We have only played two teams with a winning record in the MAC. Miami and Bowling Green.

This game thread is an absolute joke. Ohio won a solid home game by 14 points to improve to 8-3 and people are acting like they played like shit.

I get it. We're disappointed that they wasted a prime opportunity to end their MAC Championship drought, their offense regressed and we still have questions about Albin as head coach...

But, they're also still in contention for back-to-back 10-win seasons and can earn another bowl victory. The team is fighting hard and have represented our university well. Get out of here with some of the negativity!

+1 thought we played great. Glad the seniors finish their last game at home with a W. Assuming we win next week 9-3 with a win over Iowa state is nothing to hang your head about. Not everything goes to perfection, that’s life.

Thank you, Monroe . . . err, Casper!

ISU, BTW, has been doing quite well since their whipping in Athens with victories over BYU, Baylor, TCU and Okie State. Ok, and Cincinnati, but that doesn't mean much this year. With a 5-2 conference record they are in a 4-way tie for second behind Texas.

BTW, the P5 team that BG beat has done equally well, with victories over two teams ranked #17 at the time they played them -- MOFFLA (not MOFO) and UNC.

Nice, cherry picking, by limiting your comments to MAC games.

The other three out of conference games also have losing records. Besides that, I thought the only games that really count are MAC games?

A guide on how to get to 14,000 posts:

1. replies on the hour in every thread (usually multiple replies) with many involving misinformation. Georgia Tech beat Miami and UNC. Ohio did not beat Ga Tech. Bowling Green did. Ohio beat Iowa St. Iowa St. did not beat Miami or UNC. And I'm not sure a 10-7 loss can be labeled a whipping.

2. the useless and adolescent-like "+1" or, even more childish, the occasional "+1,000,000".

Keep it coming OCF. You might hit 14,000 before the week's over.

Thompson has been one of the few bright spots for this season. That was a hell of a football play on 4th and inches.

We dominated just about 55 of 60 minutes of this game. But i can see why it's so maddening to some including me - two stupid penalties and two badly blown covers meant this was still in doubt until the last 5 minutes. This should have been put away early in Q3. But still, we rolled these guys. It was a well-played game but some costly lapses in discipline.

We’ve won 8 games thus far this year. We won 8 games in total during my 4 years in Athens and I’m pretty sure at least two of those wins came against something called Tennessee Tech.

Whoever who says only MAC games count never look at the record that shows up. I don’t get it at all. Didn’t the team play those games?
