We got our turnover, thankfully.
Like another poster here Rourke has definitely regressed for whatever reason.
I heard today that he still has 1 year of eligibility left.
I think it would be time for us to move on from him.

I expect people wanting to fire Albin because there are always people wanting to fire the coach. That's what fans do. But is there anyone else who wouldn't welcome Kurtis back? I mean, we MIGHT discover that Harris is healthy and much improved, or that Winters is an NFL prospect, or that a great QB in the portal would sign here. None of that is impossible. But do you want to take odds on any of that instead of Kutis with a full off-season? Seriously.

Of all of his options it sounds like the CFL is looking likely but it sure would change our prospects next year if he returned.

Odd stat of the game (of the year?): Bangura 22 yards receiving on 0 receptions.

Ugly first half followed by a dominant second half. Idk what it is about the Bobcats offense but they had no finishing ability early.

Love their response to end the game on a 22-0 run. Box score was heavily in favor of OU despite the halftime deficit. Run game was strong and defense stepped up in the second half.

Excited to find out where they'll go bowling and looking forward to them battling for back-to-back 10-win seasons.

Based on what I learned last week, I would be very surprised and concerned if Harris continued his football career.

Would take about year of Rourke over Albin. Doubt Harris comes back. Think Winters is still a work in progress

I kicked off the game with the very first, foreboding message..

"Hold me, I'm scared..."

Luckily in the 2nd half they threw away the playbook and started mixing it up. Brought Bangura back into the mix after abandoning him entirely after the first drive, hilariously dominate drive, obviously that drove our success. In the only 4 drives he had any carries / more than 1 touch - we scored.

I'll just say that I'm THRILLED we escaped with a win - but we did escape. Against the worst team in college football.

Not exactly a game where I want to spend a single second thinking about, but I hope it's eating at the offensive staff. Unfortunately, I think they are like a lot of people on this board who showed up at 4PM with their "I thought we won" stuff.

Thank God that giant lineman started dancing, bc that is what is leading every social media site and headline about the game and not the fact we were trailing an Akron team that won 7 games, the last 5 years, at half-time.

Lets get ready for a bowl. Doubt it's Detroit. They wanna bury this team on TBS at Noon in Boise.

Akron is improved and we won. Never will turn my nose up at a MAC win on the road. Style points count for nothing but we should have covered the spread and much more.

Ending the regular season 9-3, 6-2 in the MAC is objectively pretty good but our expectations have adjusted to Detroit, rightfully so. We just lost the wrong game.

Imagine this defense paired with the 2022 offense and we could be 11-1 heading to Detroit for a battle of two ranked MAC teams.

What a day at the Convo.....Wow!

I was not able to watch the game today but I was able to catch most of the first half and chunks of the second half with Russ and Rob. They said that the Cats had heated benches for the game. At halftime they were all unplugged or removed by the coaches. Did anyone else catch this story?

Albin has said several times that he wears the green and white Block O hat in honor of Bill Hess. That’s the hat Bill Hess wore for most of his career at OHIO. I, for one, appreciate very much that nice gesture and the understanding of our football history that it shows. I sit near some members of the Hess family at football games and I’m sure that means a lot to them, too. I actually have one of those Block O hats myself. Mine needs a little TLC to bring it back to wearability.

Correction: We’d be 12-0 and after thrashing Toledo in the MACC be heading to the NY6 Bowl.

Winters is a freshman, of course he's a work in progress. Rourke was a work in progress as well.

Billy, as I recall during those paw years, we had some bad seasons. Being over 70, my memory may be playing games on me but that’s why I dislike that stupid ass Paw. it just brings bad memories to me..

This is an interesting nugget. So the coaches must have thought the players were being a bunch of weak pansies more worried about their space heater than winning a game? I like it. Correlation does not equal causation but seems like it may have worked.

That feels like a Spense move, not an Albin move.

Glad someone on that sideline was as angry watching as we were.
