Can someone figure out a good cheer that gets across the point that they are leaving the MAC, and that we don't want the door to hit them on their collect asses on the way out?

My feeble try:

"Leave the MAC,
We don't care,
You'll be last place everywhere!"

I'm sure someone can do better than that.

Give it a try.

Would 100% craft some sort of poster saying that if I was still on campus.

Hopefully this game gets off the ground with all the snow that's going to hit tomorrow PM.

This also a double-header with the women playing Kent at 3:30. I've said it before and I'll say it again. It's great that we do double headers with the men and women, but it really should be women playing first. I know you don't want to come out and say women are the "opening act" for men, but the truth is more people will be engaged with the women's game if they go first. What do you think they would rather have? More and more people trickle in as the game goes on and you have a couple thousand in the house at the most important moments? Or 3,000+ heading for the exits while you're in the layup lines.

3 of their 4 wins are vs non D1 opponents.

Hopefully we bury them early and don't let them back in. We need a confidence game from Reef.

Is he trying to play on a torn ACL or something? That knee brace is huge.

We're only going to get a couple of inches Friday night/Saturday morning and most of the parking lots in town have been scraped clean. Agree on the juxtaposition of the games. The message sent by a mass exodus is way more powerful that folks trickling in.

I would have to imagine hes hurt, or playing through something. His diminished minutes, his low 3 point %. It's his last year, probably doesnt want to miss any time. Really feeling for him.

We should've gave Elliot extra minutes so maybe the pressure would be taken off him a bit.

According to ESPN, we’re 20.5 point favorites.

Would love to see the Elliot-Evans combo get some extended run. Maybe some Ben Nicol, too.

Name your score in this game. NI is terrible. They beat up on East-West and Benedictine last month. NI is good in football, but in basketball they are flat out bad.

I don't get the calls for Elliot. What's her show?

At least Reef is an elite defender. Given our struggles on D, removing our best defender from the rotation in favor of a freshman that hasn't shown much of anything doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

The announcers just talked for 3 minutes about how "tough the MAC is night in, night out".

The league is worse than it's been since I've been paying attention to it. And that's 20+ years.

We can do anything and everything we want on offense against this team. We’ve scored the same number of points in one half as we did in the whole CMU game.

Pav has really been coming on strong in recent weeks—I think this is what a lot of us expected given his success at Wofford. Maybe some of it’s a reflection of the weaker competition, but I’ll gladly eat crow about wanting him moved off the point guard spot. He is the one that stirs the pot, and the pot is bubbling now that he’s gotten more familiar with his teammates’ tendencies.

Also, just saw that Jason Preston is in the house! What a great ambassador for this program. Humble and grateful as always during his HT interview with Marty.

Exactly B-Love Sense of Shame! The league is not good.

Allmost as bad as the announcers telling how well Mitchell has been playing recently in the midst of 3 Mitchell turnovers in his first 3 minutes on the floor. This after leading ohio in turnovers at CMU and UB.

One very positive observation about today’s game is Evan’s rebounding. In general he looks more confident. We’re going to need that against bigger teams.

There is a spot for Elliott in this rotation where he can get minutes for Mitchell and Elmore. The kid can rebound and he’s smooth. I’m hoping today shows Boals and he can squeeze in minutes for Elliott to spell Reef and Elmore.

I just don’t get how our announcers could be so wrong with the statement like that about Reef. I heard that as well and just shook my head. Did these guys not watch any of Reef in the previous two games? And he was struggling big-time before that.

With that said, it was great to see Reef knock down some 3’s late in the game to get confidence hopefully moving forward on the offensive end. It looks like he’s playing at about 50% with the knee injury and I’m not sure if that’s gonna get any better the rest of the season.

He's shown some interesting flashes, for sure, but just not convinced there's a ton he does better than Reef and Elmore. Stretching the rotation to 9 guys is fine in against bad teams, but when push comes to shove and games matter, even very deep teams tend to play 8 man rotations.

I'm much more inclined to give Reef the minutes he needs to play his way back to the level he was at last year. He has to get a lot closer to his ceiling for us to win the conference, and there's host far less upside in Elliot's minutes this season. Find Elliot minutes to develop against the bottom half of the league, but if he takes minutes in games that matter from our best on-ball defender, who also scores efficiently, that seems like a pretty poor choice.
